I guess they felt like they both needed a little role reversal!

Outside Playtime

Ever since the weather has been warmer and Summer-like I have been wanting to get the baby pool out so Ellie could play in it. She loved it last Summer and I felt pretty certain that she would love it this year too...and I was right!

She loved that she could get in out all by herself.

She loves the bathtub and the outside..so its like the best of both worlds!

She also loves her new cozy coup that she got for her birthday!

She does not so much like to ride in it as much as she likes to just climb in and out of it and open and close the door.

She has a small obsession with door...

Sweet little girl!

Beaver Teeth

From these pictures it looks like a beaver lives in my pantry...

But there is really no beaver in there just this wild little animal named Ellie-Bellie!

She can do just about anything with her bottom two teeth.

Things that you think she wouldn't be able to get in to she just pops them right open with her two little teeth! They are pretty handy little tools for this little one!

It makes it even easier to make messes like this one...

Check-up

We went to the doctor yesterday for Ellie's 12 month check up.

She had a blast playing in the room until the lab girl came in and stuck her toe.

Then she was mad at everybody else who came through the door!

I tried to get a picture of her on the scale....but she was screaming her HEAD off!

Her 12 month stats where:

Weight: 22lbs 10oz ( 75th%)

Length: 29 1/4 inches ( 63%)

HC: 18 3/4 inches

I guess with all her walking and power crawling she has finally slowed down on her weight gain...

The doctor said she looked great!

He said he could not find one thing wrong with her :)

1 year old!

My sweet little one is now 1 year old.

It sounds weird to say!

She has been acting more like a 1 month old today instead :)

Everytime I put her down she just burst into tears.

Needless to say I have a very tired arm tonight.

Here are some things we don't want to forget about you at 1 year:

• How much you love your new wagon! We went for a walk and you rode in it tonight and you were SO proud of yourself. You looked like such a big girl!
• The way you hair curls up around your ears! I think it is just the sweetest thing ever!
• How sweet your little hand looks when it reaches out to give me something. It is just so fat and round and sweet!
• Your sweet smile! No matter how fussy or "bad" you have been as soon as I see your sweet smile it just melts my heart.
• How you love being outside. You are like a different baby when you are outside
• How much we love listening to you talk. You can say - Jack (Gac), Mama, Dada, Bye-bye, Bottle( Baba), Thank-you ( Gank- u), Peek-a-boo ( Teeta), Hey and Hi
• How you have learned to shake your head "yes" and "no". It cracks me up because sometimes you are not sure and so your head just goes around in a circle!
• How much you love to read your books. You favorite are you peekaboo and baby faces books.
• How interested you are in other people ( other kids especially). When you are around other kids your just stare at them. You Daddy and I say you have a staring problem!
• How you love to take things apart! If anything is looking clean or orderly you just make your way on over to DESTROY it.. My busy little bee!
• How much you love to snuggle before your nap. Your just lay your sweet little head down and listen to me sing. It is so sweet!

We love you so much sweet little girl!

This time last year...

This time last year we were waiting at the hospital to meet this little, sweet, precious baby!

I cannot believe that it has been a year...how time flies!

After 14 LONG hours of labor...I was so ready to hold and kiss this sweet little face and hands and feet. My sweet little Ellie Reese, I love you more than you will ever know.

Your Daddy could not wait to get his hands on you either!

He was so happy and very, very proud.

He was so, so happy to finally be able to see your sweet face and snuggle with you!

Ice Cream!

Yeasterday we went to Chick-Fil-A to get some ice cream.

Little Miss Ellie loved it...

She was so happy!
