Oak Mountain Birthday Party

Saturday morning we woke up and headed to oak mountain for a early morning birthday party for Owen and Olivia. It was at the top of the barn at the petting zoo and was super cute and super fun. The girls got to pet and fed the animals and run around as much as they wanted... Sounds like a great time... Right?!? sounds like a good nap in the future to me :)

Spend the night

A few weeks ago uncle Seth invited the girls to spend the night over the Veterans Holiday.

They were pretty excited about it up until the day before... We said "Raise your hand if your going to spend the night with uncle Seth!!!" And they both just stared at each other. 

Seth came to pick them up and they both went just fine and seemed very excited to be going. 

Ellie packed her own bag. She did get everything that she was suppose to including two pair of panties and two pair of pajamas and then she packed her suitcase FULL of stuffed animals. 

I tried to slip in a picture...

And she caught me...

And wasn't happy with me...

Matt and I went to eat and went to the bookstore. I kept thinking we needed I stay out so we could go pick them up. I really felt like Ellie would do just fine but Annie gets so fussy and clingy at night I thought there was no way she would stay.

Turns out Ellie was the one who packed up her suitcase and tried to escape... Really. 

She told Seth that he was going to keep her there forever and never let her leave. 

She ended up settling down and fell asleep and said she had a fun time and would come back to stay again when she was 18 :)

Saturday in the sunshine

Saturday was such a beautiful day. We had been sick all. week. long. And we were still trying to convince ourselves we felt better... but we sucked it up :) and spent the afternoon outside in the sunshine and went fishing.  And I'm glad we did. It was a great afternoon. We Matt caught quite a few fish and the girls had fun attempting to catch them and at with them once they were caught. Here are some pictures from our day...

It can only go up from here

I had a horrible awful virus yesterday. Fever, headache, aches and stomach issues...need I say more?

It was bad bad bad from 2pm yesterday until about 9 last night and now things are much better which is good because I I feel like the way I felt yesterday...things could only get better.

Yesterday morning I was feeling kind of quesy but I was thinking it was because I had to go to the dentist and I always hate going and the stuff they put on your teeth to "polish" them.

I dropped Ellie off at school.

So sweet...

She said her bible verse...

And Annie said hers too :)

I ended up going to the gym, dentist and grocery store but by the time I got home with Ellie from Mother's Day out I was done. Luckily Annie took a 3 hour nap and Ellie took a 2 hour nap so I was able to climb in bed at 2 and only had to get out once to get Annie up from her nap until Matt got home from work.

Ellie was so sweet once she realized how bad I felt. She kept giving me sips of gatoraid and she brought me the Tylenol to help me feel better. So sweet :)

I woke up feeling much much much better today. I was able to clean the house so that made me feel better.

When went to pick the girls up from school today there was a lizard on my windshield. I took a picture to show Ellie but she was not very impressed.

Annie's teacher said she fell asleep while eating her lunch today. She said they tried and tried to wake her up but she would not open her eyes. They said she slept for about 45 minutes. We'll little missy must have been tired because she cam home and took another 3 hour nap and I had to WAKE her up at 445 :/ 

You can tell she loved it...

Ellie had to say cheese because I was asking Annie to cheese

So there...

 And I finally did get a sweet smile from this baby...

Ellie and I made pumpkin bread this afternoon. She has decided that she loves pumpkin bread and asked me today if we could make it every single day...um no...your momma would be as big as a house :)

This pumpkin bread is so good. Last time I made it I gave away and loaf and shared the other part of my loaf with my sister, so it went really fast. Today Ellie sat in the kitchen and asked me where I was putting each loaf :) she wanted to make sure they didn't get far :) funny girl.

After dinner the girls had a dance session and Ellie wanted to have a few pictures taken of her riding her horse.

Monday oh Monday

Yesterday I felt like we hit our low from our Halloween/ candy/ junk food high because our morning consisted of a lot of this...

And we had some art projects on the wall with out new crayons...

After lunch we went to get the girls a haircut.

Annie is always so serious when she gets her hair trimmed...

And I have to work really hard to get a smile out of here...

Ellie on the other hand says cheese as soon as she sees my phone...

She was trained right :)

We were all in bed and asleep by 8:00 last night. Matt told me that I couldn't go to sleep at 730 and I said why?!? And started snoring ;)

Sunday Fall Get- together

Sunday we had our small group for our annual get together at Matts parents. 

Since it has been so cold this weekend I was worried about it being too cold and windy for the kids but they didn't even act like they noticed.

We had a fun time hay riding, eating, playing on the play set, eating more and getting warm by the bonfire. We are so blessed to have such a great small group with such special friends :)

Trick or treat

Annie was the biggest fan EVER of trick or treating. She ran full speed from house to house collecting her goodies

And this happened on the way home.
