My look alike :)

I found this picture of me and thought it looked a lot like another little person I knew :)

 I just loved seeing these pictures together of me and my girl. 

I still feel like when she smiles she has Matts eyes and that makes me happy because I love his happy eyes. But I feel like I can safely say that everything else looks like her Momma!!

Summer Movies

We have been trying to stay busy around here to keep sad things off our mind.

We went to the Summer movies with our friends and saw the Annie movie. 

Although we had already seen it it was still fun seeing it in the big theater again and eating candy and popcorn and watching it with out sweet friends !

We will go back for sure!!!

Memories

The past few days have been filled with memories of my Grandaddy. 

I could tell you over and over again what a special and kind and loving person he was and the words would never do his life justice. 

He has always been a huge part of me and my sisters life from my very first memories and looking back over pictures at their house it is easy to see why.

 

 The memories that I have with him and my granny fill my head and bring me such joy and sadness at the same time. Knowing that the memories that we make from here on out will not include him is the hardest thing for to imagine and accept. I want us to always talk and remember and live the moments that we spent we him. I want Ellie and Annie to remember their Grandaddy and how special he is and how he loved them. 

Yesterday

Yesterday morning my sweet Grandaddy took his last breath on this earth. He has been such a big part of our lives it is imaginable thinking about him not being here with us. His soft spoken voice and sweet smile will forever be etched on my heart. I know that he is in Jesus's arms right where he should be but we will miss him until we see him one day.

Memorial Day

We had a low key Memorial Day. Part of it was spent at home working in the yard and the afternoon was spent at Matts parents doing what we do best... Eating :) It was nice to have a slow weekend and an extra day off with our daddy!!

Wedding Celebration

Over Memorial Day we celebrated Matts cousin, Brittany's wedding.

The farm where the wedding took place was beautiful and the weather was just perfect. 

The girls just loved every second of it...

There favorite part was seeing the bride who they felt sure was Princess Elsa :)

Time in Mississippi

While spending time at the hospital visiting my Grandaddy, me and the girls also did some sightseeing around the good ole city of Starville. Since Matt and I went to schoo there and I grew up going there there is always plenty that I want to show the girls. 

We spent one morning riding bikes around the campus...

Another afternoon we spent at the new.. Well new to me bookstore. 

This is the second time they have gone to this Barnes and Noble on the campus and they just love it there. 

I  hoping that I am training them to live Starkville as much as their Dadddy and I do :)
