Kitchen helpers

I have got some great helpers in the kitchen.

Ellie is always very eager to help cook anything and Annie usually just wants to help because her sister is helping. E

Ellie loves to cut and stir and scoop anything. She also loves eating any kind of dough. And Annie likes to do whatever Ellie's doing.  ;)

 So you can imagine what my kitchen looks like by the time supper is in the oven !

Last week

I told Matt this week that I was sad for the summer to be about over but with the extra hot weather we had last week I am now ready for the fall! The past few weeks have been harder for is because we can swim or do anything water related because of Annie's cast but that will change next Tuesday! That's right! It's coming off then!

For small group this week we met at the church since it is pretty central.

These girls had the best time playing under the tables :)

The things they love to play with just makes me laugh sometimes.

I told Annie that we needed to get her haircut. The curls are so pretty but she had a pretty long section and I felt like it would look less wild if it was shaped up some. We ever since I told her that she keeps saying..." My hair cut, my hair cut." We'll we finally went yesterday to have it cut and she did great!

She was so quiet and intent on watching her haircut.

She cut a good bit off but I think it needed it and looks really cute!

Annie's First Day

This sweet little bit had her first day today.

She was very excited to go to school with here sister.

She missed Ellie SO much yesterday. She kept telling me...I go get my Ellie.

This mornings heralded right in to class and turned around and said " bye bye mommy" and that was that. I cannot believe she is getting so big. It kind of makes me want to cry.

These sweet girls make my life so happy and full of joy. 

First day of 4k

Ellie had her first day of 4k

She said she had a great day and really liked her teacher but does not want to go back tomorrow :)

It's going to be a great year !!!

Meet the teacher

Today we had meet the teacher...tomorrow we start we start school!!!

Hooray! After our last week it couldn't get here any sooner.

Both of the girls were excited to meet their new teacher.

Ellie was extra excited because she was in the big kid building and because that's Ellie. She always gets herself worked up.

She seemed to like her new class and her teacher. She had a few kids from her class and was excited to see them.

Annie really liked her new class and all the fun things to play with in there. 

She was really excited that there was paint on the first day to play with.

I hope these sweet girls have a great year!

Bad day for Annie

Last Wednesdays started out like a good day. The girls played around here most of the morning and I was able to clean the house. Around lunch Jamie and Rileigh came by to play for a little while. Annie and I were going to run to the store. I was getting her in the car to go and closed the door and then realized that it was locked!

So 10 minutes, 3 police cars and one fire truck later she was out of the car safe and sound and actually sound asleep.

So the day just kind of continues being pretty stinky so after super Matt decides he needs to take the girls to the park. We'll they are gone about 30 minutes and then they come in the door with Annie screaming her head off and Matt saying " oh my gosh!!!she broke her arm" 

It wasn't swollen or bruised and she would use it but cried whenever she tried to pick anything or put weight on it so we waited until the next morning and went to the pediatrician to find out what we already knew...it was broke 

We went to the ortho doctor got a cast and were on our way in about 30 minutes.

After that we went to get ice cream and a Frozen dress because she was such a brave girl!

She really actually likes it and doesn't seem bothered by it. At night every night she prays for her cast. Hopefully she will still be ok with it in 4 weeks:)
