My Ellie is always drawing and making things. Matt always says she is going to be a artist when she grows up. She loves drawing people and yesterday she drew me this sweet picture of me, her and Annie. I though it was the sweetest. I love how she drew Annie's curly hair and we we're standing under a rainbow :)

A day in Huntsville
On Saturday we spent the day in Huntsville visiting Aunt Leigh and baby Jamie.
We met them at the botanical gardens up there and had a great day up there!
It was beautiful outside and the girls were so excited to be there and see everything up there.
Annie had so much fun playing with the rocks.
I am convinced that she could sit and play with rocks for hours and hours without ever wanting to do anything else.
Ellie was in heaven climbing all the trees there.
She was really ....giddy about all the climbing trees.
They had lots of fun little children things to play in and the girls wanted to stay there all day long. And we actually almost did. We stayed until about 15 minutes until closing.
Ellie loved playing with baby Jamie and I sure they will be asking to go back there soon!

Pink Party
This past Friday we had the 6th Annual Pink Luncheon at Matts office.
This year was a Luau Theme and everything turned out so cute!
My mother in law does such a great job and outdoes herself every year with this fundraiser :)
The girls always have a great time. Ellie loves it because she can run around and do whatever she wants. I was watching her go to the desert table and lost count at 4 trips 😁
Here are some pictures from the day

When we got biome that afternoon, the girls got some daddy time and I laid down to take a nap because while we were at the luncheon I had got stung on the tongue by a yellow jacket... Yes that's right ... On the tongue. I was taking a bite of my chicken and the yellow jacket as taking a bite too. I just didn't know it... It didn't swell like I thought it would it mostly just felt numb and hard to use...
While the girls were outside playing with Matt that afternoon Matt said Ellie got stung too. I asked her if she got bit by. Bee when I got up and she said "what?!?" Then I said did you get stung by a bee and she said " what?!?" Finally I said did something hurt you outside like a bee? She she said "it just poked me"😊 then she said " you got stung by a jacket yellow in the mouth...right?!?"

A Pumpkin Day
Yesterday at school the girls had their pumpkin patch.
Annie doesn't go to school on Wednesday so I asked her if she wanted to go to the pumpkin patch with her class or Ellie's class and she decided to join Ellie's class. Ellie loved her decision and kept telling me " my friends will love Annie!"
Ellie and her friend Brenley
Ellie had the best time showing her sister around and taking care of her.
Ellie's class....
Hayride with my girls
Annie and her friend from class... Parker
Annie and her friend Emme. This is who she talks about all the time. Emme this and Emme that...
Pumpkin face Ellie
Annie's friends
At home we carved out pumpkins. Ellie was so excited to make a face on her pumpkin.
They had read a story yesterday about a pupkin and how we take all the yuck out of it and put a light in it for everybody to see. I didn't think Ellie was listening during story time but obviously she was because she kept talking about it while we were carving it.
This was Annie's response when she touched the pumpkin slime :)
Here they are all carved and lit up!!!
And to finish our pumpkin day we roasted and ate pumpkin seeds 😊
Happy Fall!

Spend the night
Since the weather looked like this around here yesterday...
We decided to spend the night at Awmaws and Pawpaws where there is a basement of we need one.
The girls loved that idea because it meant a party night for them :)
They love being over at their grandparents house and they always come back home rotton. Matt and I say that it's like their own personal Disney World... It's magical and you are always the center of attention over there. Sounds great?!?
Well they are usually disappointed when they realize mom and dad are coming and staying :) but since I had worked yesterday they didn't seem so disappointed to have us around.
Here they are being silly eating their homemade popcorn and LOVING it.
And thank goodness the weather was not bad and when we got home today out little house was just fine ;)

Weekend
We had a busy but prett much non eventful weekend.
Friday night we cooked a yummy dinner of veggies and cornbread that we got from homestead hollow. It was so good we are both batches we made.
" Minnie-mommy" as Ellie calls her... Came over to eat with us. Ellie was so excited to have company to eat. Ellie said she wanted her to come estate watch some baseball...aka football :)
Saturday morning we slept until 7 which is HUGE since Annie hasn't slept last about 530 in months.
We cooked breakfast and ate some great grits that we also picked up at homestead hollow :)
We worked in the yard most of the day. We are trying to clear out some wisteria and privet in our back yard to open up our yard and give us more yard.
We cooked Roasted Red Pepper and Potatoe Soup for supper and it was great ;) the girls even loved it so that's always great.
Sunday we woke up and went to early church, cooked blueberry pancakes for brunch, then Ellie and I went to a wedding shower.
These are the only pictures I took this weekend
Ellie said " look at me mom!!!! Take my picture!"
And so Annie said the same :)
Ellie has been really interested in weddings lately and so I figured she would like going to a wedding shower with me. I told her several time it wasn't a wedding just a wedding party. Well she was still confused because when I told her it was time to go she said " Wait! We have to see the Kiss part!"
She had a fun time and brought some mints hone for Annie to eat :) so sweet.
Sunday night my friend Betsy came over to eat with us. The girls had a great time playing with her and showing her all their tricks. Annie did a big trip and flipped off the couch onto her head. It scared us to death. She cried and cried then acted like she wanted to go to sleep which really scared me. She ended up getting up and playing again. We watched her close and woke her up in te

Homestead Hollow
Yesterday we spent the day at Homestead Hollow.
The weather was warmer than I think it should have been :) but we knew it was going to be warm and dressed like it was July.
The girls loved it out there.
There were trees to climb, animals to see, water to play in and lots of yummy food to eat!!
How could you not have a great time.
The mean duck in the swimming pool is always fun for them.
They always have a hard time understanding why they can't put their fingers in to touch and feed him.
Any tree that looked like it could possibly be climbed.... Ellie had to try to climb it and Annie was not
far behind her.
There were lots of great places to take fall pictures
And we found baby Nolan there !!
