Dreamland

While we were on the way to Starkville a few Friday nights ago, we stopped to eat at Dreamlands.

Matt had it on his mind...and once that happens there is no getting around it :)

It was the girls first trip there and they were both super excited about it.

They both love love love ribs and chickem wings like you wouldn't believe.

Ellie will clean a bone cleaner than you have ever seen. It's pretty unbelievable. So when they heard it was ribs for supper they were in the back seat cheering.

They were pretty big fans of the food. imthinkmellie was a even bigger fan of the fact that they had dollar bills taped all over the building. That just about did her in. She talked about that all night long :)

Strawberry picking

I have been wanting to do this for the longest time... Well since Ellie was old enough to pick and have fun doing it 😉 And we finally did! And we did itmwitt a bang! We had two HUGE baskets of strawberries!

I figured while we were up there picking we might as we'll make the most of it and pick away.

The girls picled and ate and ran.

Annie loved the juicy ones.

Ellie loved having her "own " basket and whenever I tried to add some to her basket she  did not want the help and would decline and take them out and put them back on the ground. 

Needless to say it took some time :) but we got two baskets full of strawberries and were singing strawberry shortcake the whole way home 😘

5 year old check up

Ellie had her 5 year old check up last week. 

I remember when we took her in 5 years ago after she was born. 

My how time flies...

She was actually very excited about going to see Dr Harmon.

She likes the doctor. I feel like she will grow up to be something medical. She says she wants to be a vet :) I asked her to be a doctor so she could take care of me when I got old. She said Annie could be a doctor and take care of me. 

This big girl weighed 45.2 lbs which was in the 80%

And was 43.5 inches tall which was in the 72%

He said she looked great but I already knew that :)

Ellies heart is so sweet and she has become so curious and ready to discover her surroundings.

She loves her baby sister dearly and it makes my heart so full. 

In the morning after they have had their chocolate milk and got good and awake, Ellie will say " hey Annie... Do you want to play babies and mommies?" I think this is the sweetest and I hope this happens for a long time.

Ellie loves pets. She said she wants to be a vet when she grows up. We shall see :) She has such a sweet heart towards animals and is so gentle with them.  We have jack a bath the other day and she just loved every single second of it. 

She is so adventurous. She always wanted to be climbing on something or jumping from something or swinging from something. One look at her arms and legs and you will understand what I am saying. She is covered in boo boos because she is always doing wild crazy things!!

She loves to sing and make up songs. Some of them can be the sweetest. I love to hear her sweet little voice sing. 

She is obsessed with numbers. She always talks about numbers and the sounds they make and how they look. She has started talking about how to spell things. She knows how to spell some words and it makes her so excited . She is also very interested in knowing what words mean and the definition of them. Needless to say my mouth is very busy!!

This little girls has brought us so much joy in her five year here. 

I love her so!

Horsey Time

One of the girls favorite things to do when the weather is nice is go out and feed the horses, 

We usually bring them carrots because I feel like they are easier to feed without risking loosing your finger :)  we had not been in a few months and annie took a big interest to them this time. She said she wanted to come back and and ride them and see them on Friday!! 

Annie had little to no fear while she was feeding them. She went straight to their mouth and didn't flinch an eye. 

Ellie is usually the animal wisperer but I think she was so excited because she was bouncing and screaming all over the place. I kept trying to remind her that horses don't really like that. 

I think she was just excited to see them.

Both of the girls are wanting to ride them so that may have to happen before the summer is over 😬

Wee Center Art show

The girls had their art show at school the other night. 

They were so excited to show off their beautiful work to Matt and me :)

Camping trip

Instead of having a birthday party, Ellie decided it actually her daddy helped her decide... That she wanted to go camping for her 5th birthday. So camping we went. We had originally planned 2 nights but that rain shortened it to one night and I think that for our first night of camping that was a good thing. We did have a fun time. I think that it's just something thT I will have to ease in to doing :)

We went to Tannehill. That is where we grew up going with my grandparent. It's a neat place with lots of fun things to do and places to ride bikes. 

Of course we had to play in the water. Annie took a unplanned swim and uncle Brent had to pull her out. She rode the train back naked and chilly :)

Ellie loved being outside in the Wild. She is my wilderness women.

Brent did all of the cooking. He did a great job. I am hoping Matt took some notes for our next trip ;)

Little monkey

This little money moved up tongue big gym after Christmas and she is loving gymnastics.

But why would she?!! She loves everything high and dangerous and swingy :)
