I am ready

I am SO ready for my house to look like this again!
I just love how our home looks in the Spring and Summer with all the green!
I know that the trees are working hard to bloom out but they just are not coming fast enough!

We also have lots of work to do in the yard to get it ready for spring... like:

  • Get all the leaves out of the flower beds
  • Pull the big weeds and spray the others with round - up
  • Take up the potted pansy and put something more "Springy" in there
  • Mow the grass ( Matt) :)
  • Put out mulch and pine straw
  • Plant new plants in the flower boxes
  • Plant some tomatoes
  • Get a new outdoor flag

This list makes me SO excited! Now if I could only get Matt as excited as I am about it!

" I Will Rise"

There is a song that after my Mimi died two years ago I started hearing it all the time.
We would sing it at church and I would hear it on the radio...and I love it.
This song just gives me chills when I sit and listen to it.
I love it because it reminds me that my sweet, precious Jesus has overcome the grave for me and because of Him I will be able to see the ones I love again. It also reminds me that here on earth we must face painful trying times, but because of Jesus we will be able to live in eternity without pain or suffering. Praise Jesus!
There's a peace I've come to know
Though my heart and flesh may fail
There's an anchor for my soul
I can say " It is well"
Jesus has overcome
And the grave is overwhelmed
Victory is won
He is risen from the dead
I will rise when He call my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise
There's a day thats drawing near
When this darkness breaks to light
And my shadows disappear
And my faith shall be my eyes
Jesus has overcome
And the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won
He is risen from the dead
I will rise when He call my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise
And I hear the voice of many angels sing
"Worthy is the Lamb"
And I hear the cry of every longing heart
" Worthy is the Lamb"
I will rise when He call my name
No more sorrows, no more pain
I will rise on eagles wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise

Guess Who's Walking?!?

Guess who's walking?!?

That's Right!

Miss Ellie Reese is!

She has been taking a few steps but then we found out how to really motivate her to walk...
Bribe her with food...she cannot resist!
( as can be seen in these pictures where her mouth is stuffed full of animal crackers!)

Yesterday she was "bribed" with M&M's and she walked almost all the way across the room!
Smart Girl!

Quick Trip to Montgomery

Friday night we made a quick trip down to Montgomery to watch Seth and Emily in their Jamboree. It was really good cute. The theme was " Going to the Movies" and their social groups did Pocahontas. Ellie had the best time watching the show too. She clapped and and danced along with everybody else!
Here are some pictures.

Our trip was short but fun!
It was our first time to go.
Matt really enjoyed it too... he said he would have gone back the second night and watched it again!

11 months

Today is my beautiful Ellie Reese's 11 month birthday!
I cannot believe that in one short month she will be 1!
I look at other babies that are one and they look older than her to me.
She still looks like such a baby to me.
I guess that she didn't want me to think she was growing up too fast so just for me she woke up 5 times last night! I know! Just like a newborn...thanks Miss L!
We have started planning her birthday party and it going to be SO cute.
It is going to be a Tea Party!
Now we only have a few weeks to get ready for it.
Here are some things we don't want to forget about you at 11 months
* Your obsession with Jack. If you are fussy it always makes you so happy to go and visit Jack.
The other day she was in the mud room where Jacks pen is and she was just laughing. I walked in there and she had undone Jack's pen and they were playing on the floor. Ahh!
*The way you are so interested in your surroundings. You want to know about everything that is going on!
* How you have learned to open cabinets and drawers...oh what a mess you can make!
* How soft your sweet cheeks are when I kiss them. I could just eat them up!
* The oh so sweet rolls on your arms! Now that she is wearing more short sleeves I love seeing her chunky little arms.
* Your love for the outdoors. I think you could eat, sleep and play outside every single day!
* The way you have started to talk so much. She is not so much babbling instead now its sounds like she is really talking. We just have now figured out your language yet!
She does say Dada, Gac( Jack), Yay, Uh oh, Mmm, and Mama.
* The way you are learning to walk! She is doing so good at taking steps. She is still very cautious though. She would rather crawl though because she know she can get there faster ( and safer) by crawling.
* Your sweet and oh so beautiful smile. It just melts my heart everytime I see it!
I love you to the moon and back sweet little girl!

First Trip to the Zoo!

Yesterday we took out very first trip to the zoo!
We had lots of fun. We also got a membership so I know we will be back many more times.
It was nice going and not trying to see everything all in one day.
The weather was perfect too!
We had a picnic lunch outside the zoo then went in and explored for a little while.
Ellie got all geared up to go with her new sunglasses!
How cute is she!?!

Three sweet girls eating lunch.

**************************************************

One of the first things we saw was the Kangaroos.
There were pretty lazy but one did get up and hop across the grass.
Ellie kept yelling "Gac, Gac!" ( That is how she calls our dog Jack)
I guess she thought they kinda looked like him :)

This picture is of Ellie and Jenna watching the Kangaroos sleep.

Another stop was to see the birds.

Anna Claire had fun feeding them.

She had two birds eating from her cup and she said " Look they are twins!"

Ellie did not really know what to think. She was kind of in lala land.

I had a bird that sat on my shoulder for like 5 minutes and I could not get her to look at me to see the birds. I am sure she would have LOVED it if she would have SEEN it!

We did not stay with the birds very long because one pooped on my shoes and I was ready to get the heck out of the bird cage!

We had fun seeing everything.

Ellie fell asleep about half way through our trip so she did not get to see all the animals but I am

sure we will be back very soon!
