Spaghetti face

The other night at my moms house Annie got to try spaghetti for the first time.
I think the noodles felt funny in her mouth.
She ate a few bites then she was over it. But she sure did look cute with that cute spaghetti face!

Scones and band aids

I made some strawberry scones the other day.
I got the recipe here

I had one for breakfast this morning and they were great!
Ellie said she did not like them but she did gobble up the dough that was left over from them.

While I was busy mixing them up I realized that it had been unusually quiet in the house.
I asked back to her room and found this.
She said she needed some band aids because the mosquito had " eaten me up"

First/ Last Day of MDO

So another year has gone by! I cannot believe that it's finally time for Summer!
Ellie had a great year.

Start of school in August

End of school in May

It's crazy the different a school year makes!

Splash pad

I have been wanting to take the girls to the splash pad at the zoo for a while and I feel like it has just started being warm enough for outside water stuff. So, this past week we went and both the girls had a great time!

Sweet sisters

I locked my keys in the car at SAMs so I had some extra time to take pictures of these two cuties in their pocket shirts that were made by aunt wissa!

These two girls are so sweet to each other it just melts my heart.
I just love the laughs and smile and giggles they share with each other.

Mother's Day

We had a great Mother's Day weekend around here.
Matt was extra sweet and thoughtful on Mother's Day :)
While he and Ellie were making breakfast in bed for me I heard him tell Ellie " today is a special day for your mom!" He is so sweet :)
I think my favorite gift for the day was a nap....in the house all alone!

It was great getting to spend time with our families and celebrate our mothers and grandmothers!

Happy Mothers Day!

Taking it in

This week has been slow and I have had lots of time to take in and enjoy these two sweet little sugar lumps.
This sweet little bit has been her same old self...happy and cranky all at the same time :)
Despite that...I still think she is the sweetest little sister ever.

Now that the weather is warming up I just love seeing her sweet arms and legs and all those rolls!
How can rolls be so stinkin cute?!?

Little miss Ellie has been a ball of attitude this week. Her mouth has been so smart and sassy.

But she still has so much sweetness in her I could just eat her up.
She is growing and acting so old now it makes my heart sad and happy at the same time.
She is just growing SO fast. I just want time to slow down so I can take these little sweeties in a little longer.

Mom of the year

So...I should get nominated for mom of the year!
For an afternoon snack little miss Annie ate herself some mascara.
I heard Ellie saying " mom, Annie's painting her mouth!"
As I walked in and found her...what did I do?
Grab my camera and took a picture, wipe her mouth off, then called poison control :)

Date night / surprise party

Between two great babysitters ( thanks uncle Seth and aunt Melissa!) we were able to make a surprise party for a friend... kid free! It as a fun night and good food. We went to Bright Star. Neither one of us had ver been there and the more Matt heard about it he more excited he got... Matt and his food:) It as really great and I'm sure we will go back!

New do

With all this hair that little miss Fannie has....
I thought it was time to try out a new hair style!
Pretty cute, don't you think?

Hooray Em!

Aunt Em graduated!!!
We went down to Montgomery to celebrate on Friday!

I know you will be the  best accountant ever:)
We love you!

New seats

Annie got moved from her baby pumpkin seat to a convertible seat.
Oh course she is still rear facing ( which I think really makes her mad) but now she has more room!
That means Ellie had to get a new seat too....which made her so excited!
Now she looks like such a big girl.

Ready!

This little one is getting so close to crawling. There have been several times in the last few days that I thought she was just about to take off. I know she will love it once she figures it out!

Sister Love

7 and 8 months

Today my sweet little sugar lump is 8 months old. Hard to believe? I know.
She keeps us on our toes. She is a people person and loves being held and entertained just about all the time she is awake. Good thing she has a big sis right?

She is so sweet and silly.
She is always smiling ( which is usually followed by a cry) and her sweet laugh just makes my heart smile. She bring us such joy. I cannot believe in a few months this little chunky monkey will be 1.

6 month visit ( 7 month old)
Weight: 21.2 lbs
Length: 27 3/4 inches
HC: 18.5
He checked her head twice but it was measuring a little big but Ellie's was big at that age too so I guess I just have big headed babies :)

Here are some things we want to remember about our sweet Annie girl at 7 and 8 months old
- the sound of your sweet voice. I love to hear you talk and babble. It makes my heart so happy,
- your sweet smile that is full of TEETH! IOU have 8 now and they are so cute!
- how you love your mommy and daddy. You light up and smile when you see us and we love you so!
- your oh so sweet rolls....all over your arms and legs. I could just eat them up!
- how you flap your arms when you get mad or see something you want. It makes me smile.
- waving bye-byebackwards. It's the cutest thing...ever.
-the sweet sounds you make when you are trying to fall asleep.
- how sweet it is when you and your sister play and laugh together. I just love, love, love watching this. I hope and pray that y'all will always love each other and be very best friends. Forever.
- you head full of sweet curls. The older you get the curlier and crazier it gets. It's the cutest!

My sweet little Annie M, we love you more and more each day.
