Horsey Time

One of the girls favorite things to do when the weather is nice is go out and feed the horses,
We usually bring them carrots because I feel like they are easier to feed without risking loosing your finger :)  we had not been in a few months and annie took a big interest to them this time. She said she wanted to come back and and ride them and see them on Friday!!

Annie had little to no fear while she was feeding them. She went straight to their mouth and didn't flinch an eye.

Ellie is usually the animal wisperer but I think she was so excited because she was bouncing and screaming all over the place. I kept trying to remind her that horses don't really like that.

I think she was just excited to see them.

Both of the girls are wanting to ride them so that may have to happen before the summer is over 😬

Wee Center Art show

The girls had their art show at school the other night.
They were so excited to show off their beautiful work to Matt and me :)

Sweet, sweet sister.
They make my heart so happy

Annie and one of her teachers, Ms Teri.

Camping trip

Instead of having a birthday party, Ellie decided it actually her daddy helped her decide... That she wanted to go camping for her 5th birthday. So camping we went. We had originally planned 2 nights but that rain shortened it to one night and I think that for our first night of camping that was a good thing. We did have a fun time. I think that it's just something thT I will have to ease in to doing :)

We went to Tannehill. That is where we grew up going with my grandparent. It's a neat place with lots of fun things to do and places to ride bikes.

Of course we had to play in the water. Annie took a unplanned swim and uncle Brent had to pull her out. She rode the train back naked and chilly :)

Ellie loved being outside in the Wild. She is my wilderness women.

Not sure what this is.

Cheese we are camping!!!

Me and my 5 year old on the train!

Brent did all of the cooking. He did a great job. I am hoping Matt took some notes for our next trip ;)

This apple cobbler was delicious!!

Ready to go home!!

Little monkey

This little money moved up tongue big gym after Christmas and she is loving gymnastics.
But why would she?!! She loves everything high and dangerous and swingy :)

A visit to Mississippi

The day after Ellies birthday we headed east...
Just over to Starkville :)
We went to visit Granny and Grandaddy.

Somebody was excited about seeing her Grandaddy!

Ellie got a birthday present while we were there and was pretty thrilled about it!!!

We went to see Grandaddy at the nursing home where he is now.
Luckily I thought about talking to Ellie about taking about people and pointing at people that looks strange or different before we went... Before there was a lot of that there... For a five year old :)

There were very excited to see Grandaddy but they very quickly realized that he looked different and sicker than last time they saw him and that broke my heart. Grandaddy was very happy to see them. His eyes opened and he said "Ha!!!!Annie!!!! And Ellie!"

The girls got antsy pretty quick so we played outside some and made a trip to McDonald's... Great fun for them!!!

The next day we woke up and came home. Ellie was so happy to be home and so, so happy to see Her daddy!!!

Happy 5th Birthday!!

Five years ago I never knew what a special day April 6th, 2010 would be to be.
I never knew what joy and beauty and sweetness that day would bring.
Now ever year on that day all those feeling of my sweet first born baby girl come back to me and it just overwhelms me every year. I cannot believe that she is 5 years old now.

This was the night before she turned five.
I always like to make sure I put them to bed that night because it's their last night of being that are and I want one more night of it because I won't ever get it again..

Sweetness...

For breakfast I asked what she wanted and she said hamburgers...
I then found out she meant sausage patties :)
So we made pancakes to go along with it...

So can be so sweet hearted and loves any kind of animals.... Except bears... Is what she is telling me now :)

Sometimes I just catch myself staring at her wondering how in the world she hot so big and grown up.

Her dinner request was Chuck E Cheese... And so off we went.
It really was nice and very quiet on a Monday night.

Annie enjoyed it too!!

I had to get a picture with the birthday girl!

My sweet Ellie girl!!!
You are growing so fast... I love watching you grow and learn. You have such a sweet heart. I am so thankful God chose me to be your mommy

Easter Day

Easter Day!!!
It was a big day around here!!!

The bunny came to visit and made two little girls very excited and very happy!!!

And one daddy very happy :)

I don't feel like the bunny left that much candy in his basket this year but I feel like that is all they are for like a week was some type of sugar!!!

Easter morning before church...
These two girls just make me so happy and proud to me their mommy :)

They had a big surprise waiting for them at Awmaws and pawpaw...
Baby ducks!!!
They were just about they cutest little things ever!!!!!

We celebrated Ellies 5th Birthday... That's right... 5th !!!
She wanted Frozen so that's what we did !!! ( Even though mom tried to convince her of a bunny party.. For Easter )

Cant believe my girl is almost 5!!

Then we had a egg hunt!!!
Annie was happy finding one egg eating the candy then finding another....

Ellie wanted to find them all!!!

After that we went to nanny mommys to celebrate there!!!!
Got to see this sweetness!!

Played with all these crazy cousins...

Hunted eggs...
And then ate Frozen cupcakes and sang happy birthday to the birthday girl!!!

Between Easter goodies and birthday surprises we had lots of goodies to bring home with us and keep us busy through the next few  weeks!

And after a great, fun, busy day like that we had to go home and rest because the next day was an even bigger day!!!
Ellies Birthday!!!

Easter Festivities

We had lots of fun things planned to do to for upcoming Easter day...

We made Easter cupcakes...

Big cheese because it was so much fun!

And they turned out beautiful!!!

Any yummy as you can tell from Annie's icing and sprinkled face:)

We went to visit the Easter bunny.
I was pretty uncertain how this was going to turn out.
Annie said she wanted to see him and was very excited about it. Ellie asked me multiple times what she did last time she saw him and I told her that she loved him :) and that was the truth!!

Once we got there Annie got a little teary eyed and Ellie did just fine.
The pictures did not turn out great but we got them and that's that.

We got a cookie and ice cream after lunch for being so brave :)

And I think our most favorite Easter activity was dying eggs!
Botha the girls had so much fun doing this!!!

Annie was so patient doing this and her eggs turned out just beautiful!!!

Ellie loved trying all the different colors and dipping from one into the other ...
It made for some interesting colored eggs!

Such a fun time !!

Happy Easter !
