Crazy Girl!

Ellie looked so cute the other day in her dress I tried to take a few pictures.
But this is what I got instead...
And this....
She finally started acting a little better...

Then she gave me her "smile"
Gotta love it!
She can be such a crazy, silly little girl!

Kitchen Help

************************************************************
This morning me and my little helper made some pumpkin bread.
She was happy and very eager to help!
What a great little helper she was!
She helped me sift the flower and use the mixer....
I though it turned out yummy...
Little missy didn't think so though.
She would not have anything do to with it...
Oh well.
I guess that mean I will have to eat it by myself.

These boots are make for walkin'

Little Miss Ellie has a small obsession with shoes...boots in particular.
She loves to get them on and stomp all over the house.
These boots here were her daddy's when he was little and they are extra good stompin boots because they make LOTS of noises when you walk :)
Stomping around her room
Showing off her boots
"Smiling" for the camera
This is her new look.
She does it whenever she is concerned or worried about something.
It. Cracks. Me. Up.
Silly little L

Fall Crafting

We have been doing some fall crafting around here thanks to Pinterest :)
I had been wanting to do something with Ellie'e feet and found this idea.
I thought it turned out cute.
Her feet are just about too big for this frame.
I will have to go up to a 8x10 next time...haha!
I also found this idea too on Pinterest but I modified it a little bit.
I did it at "Girls Night Out/ Craft Night" the other night with our small group friends!
I thought it turned out pretty cute too but I might like the original orange pumpkin with black buttons better.
And lastly my fall pumpking door hanger!
I love the way it turned out!
Hooray for fall decorations!!!

Recipes to try

So I have had a few recipes that I have been wanting to try.
The first is Peanut Butter Cripsies
The recipe is here
I used chocolate chips instead of coconut since Ellie is crazy for mini chocolate chips.
I used butter instead of coconut oil because I couldn't fint it at Target :)
I used creamy peanut butter instead of crunchy.
And I used honey instead of agave nectar because I dont even know what agave nectar is or where to find it.
Oh yeah and I added some raisons on Ellie's side to try and get some fruit in...
Ok so I modified it ALOT!
It turned out pretty good but Ellie still prefers Quacker Chewy Granola Bars to my homemade.
Oh well...at least I try!
The other recipe was S'mores Popcorn
The recipe is here
And it turned out great...or so I thought
Until Matt asked me if I had made it up because it was really "random" according to him..HA!
And now that I am FINALLY on Pinterest I have even more new recipes I wanna try!

Mums and my little gardener

With the weather cooling off it makes me want to do "fall" things.
I keep thinking it is a little too early but I couldn't stop myself any longer.
Ellie and I went and picked up some mums the other day and planted them yesterday!
Ellie loved "helping" me and moving dirt from one pot to the other with her own little shovel.
She also had to try and rake up a few leaves...
And smell and try to eat the mums...
And what would gardening be without a little water fun?!?
Thanks for the help little L

Meet the Royal Family

Thursday after Mother's Day Out we met Laura and Blair at the Zoo to see the new Royal Family...
The five lion cubs at the Zoo!
But first we had to play on the playground....
They were so cute.
We got a close up view of them.
I think Laura and I were more interested in them than Ellie and Blair.
Ellie was into other things.
I was watching the cubs being fed and I turned around and Ellie was trying to pull a walking cane away from this old lady....ahhh!
We also had to stop and watch the turtles....
And play the drums!
~What a fun time we had~

Huntsville

Saturday we drove up to Huntsville for my cousins, Daisy's wedding tea.
Ellie was not very good on the drive up.
She gets very fussy when somebody sits in the back seat with her since she is use to having the entire back to herself.
So she did not take a nap because she was too busy being grouchy to her Aunt Melissa.
But you cannot tell from this picture.
I think she was just happy to get out of the car.
Could you imagine being strapped in a seat for a few hours...no thanks....
Once we got to the Tea she was her silly little self.
She just sat down in the middle of the room and acted goofy trying to get people to smile and laugh at her. She is going to be such a clown when she gets older!
The iced coffee that her Aunt Melissa gave her added to her silliness :)
I didn't get a picture of Daisy but I got a few with my mom, sister, aunt leigh...and of course Ellie!
Also Ellie and her cousin "baby" Jamie

Early Christmas Present!

Saturday little Miss Ellie got a early christmas present...
A swing set!
We had said we were gonna get her one for christmas but if we waited until then to give it to her she would miss all the wonderful fall weather that would be perfect for playing. So we went ahead and got one now and she LOVED it!
Her fav is the slide
She can climb up and slide down ALL BY HERSELF!

She was not too happy when we had to go in for the night.

Happy Birthday to ME!

Today was my Birthday.
That's right...the big 2-8
Matt says I am 30 now....
Sometimes I really don't understand him....
Anyways, We has a fun and very busy day filled with family, food, cousins, playing outside, a little shopping and swimming!
Yesterday me and my sisters and my momma went to eat for my birthday.
I really like trying to stretch out the celebration as LONG as I can :)
Here is a picture of Ellie before we met them for lunch.
It made me start looking back to last year at my little Ellie Bellie
when we went to girls lunch for my birthday.
Oh how she has grown...
It makes my heart a little sad but happy at the same time to see her growing and changing so much!
Sweet little girl!

Made by Me!

The fall that I found out I was pregnant me and my sister starting taking a smocking class.
This sweet little dress was the very first thing I made for our sweet Ellie Reese.
I didn't know if it was a boy or a girl so I did a white dress with off white smocking.
And I just love how it turned out.
It makes me just so happy to see it on her!

Powdered Donut...for Breakfast

I admit every now and then I eat powdered donuts and chocolate milk for breakfast...
Yes thats all.
Nothing healthy AT ALL to go along with it to make it somewhat good for you.
Now it seems like somebody else in our house likes this idea too!
