Carpenters in training

The fence continues to go up!! Hooray!!
These two little girls were very eager to help hammer away...

Ellie found out quickly that it's much easier than it looks.

Annie had to focus very hard...

And then had to have a little help from dad :)

Let's Play!

Last week we visited the new Lets Play.
It's a indoor playground and the girls thought it was the best thing ever!

Annie was a little hesitant at first...
But after 3 hours there she loved it!

Ellie the fearless loved every.single.second.

We went with friends so that made it even more fun 😍

A visit to Nanny Mommys

Last week when Ellie was at VBS annie and I went to visit nanny mommy for the evening.
We had a good visit and Annie was excited to have the kittens all to herself :)

Movies with cousins

Tuesday we went to the Summer Movies with our cousins.
It's always a fun time and a good excuse to eat lots of candy :)

Our next request for the movies by Annie...is the Minion Movie :)

Long. Night.

These girls had a spend the night party with their Aunt Emi on Friday night.
They had big plans for all the fun they were going to have.

I pretty sure they lived it up with her because this happened before noon...

Ellie hardly EVER naps anymore. It's like she fights it with all she has...so she must have been exhausted.

And this happened not long after...

Annie is a big napper but to fall asleep like this...it must have been a long night :)

Thanks Aunt Emi for wearing our kids out :)

Decision, Decisions

We are on the search for bunk beds for the girls and I am having the hardest time trying to decide on one. The only specifications E has is that it be white because the others look like "boys beds" I thought first that I just wanted the typical ladder bunk...

But the more I look at them I am liking the stairs.
It seems so much easier for them to get up and down with them being little.

The big downside though is that most of these do not separate into seperate beds which is something that I think we would use in the future. Ellie finds it impossible to believe that we would ever want to take it apart :)

So with this in mind my indecisiveness continues...

Last week.

Last week was pretty uneventful.
We spent the week trying to recover from 8 days of vacation.. And let me tell you that isn't easy :)

The girls we so excited to be home and play with all their toys.
I was happy to be home to sleep in my own bed :)

We did manage to do a few things...

We picked some blueberries from our favorite blueberry farm.
This was out first time there this year and we timed this visit perfect.
You were able to just reach up and grab a handful of large, juicy berries...
In pretty sure the girls ate over half of what they picked :)

We had a tea party breakfast...
Ellie set the whole thing up by herself... Which is why their snack is cherry tomotoes

And we visited the waterfall and park with our friend Kim and Hunter.
It was great to finally see them and hang out!
Ellie and Hunter are so sweet playing together I wish we could see them much more often.

And last but not least we did some much needed yard work.
I don't have picture (yet) but Matt is putting up a fence in the back yard and I could be more excited. One side is complete and the other side is started...hooray!!

Sweetest Heart

After working 12 hours I came home to this from my sweet Elle Belle ❤️

She had picked and arranged and even written me a sweet note that said ❤️- Ellie
That girl can just be the sweetest little thing ever.

Navarre Beach 2015

We left the lake and headed straight south until we saw blue.
Our first stop was Joe Patties in Pensacoola to pick up 12 pounds of shrimp... That will tell you what a crowd we had down there :)

Every year for the last 25 years we have been making this trip with my Moms family. Every year seems the same like it's so familiar down there but every year is different. We always talk and fear about what the next year will bring. Who will be there and who will not. Who will have a new baby, who will still be married, who will be able to get off work, who will still be around. The last few years have been very hard and we have had to go one without some very special people but this year was for me the hardest because we had to go on without my sweet Grandaddy. It was like there was a huge void there. I kept thinking I would look up and see him and granny waking down to the beach or come up from the condo and he would be sitting on the couch. The memories that I have of him downthere are so precious to me but also they hurt so bad.

Every year Granny and Geandaddy always go to Joe Patties and get shrimp for supper... And so true tradition continues.

And we have a picture to prove it :)

This little girl was not happy about the stop and was ready to get to the beach to see her cousins...

The week was filled with cousins, food, sun and water...

My mom had a new kayak and the girls loved trying it out on the bay..

Matching braids thanks to Aunt Leigh

We have started every year going to eat at Flounders in Pensacoola...
It is a great outdoor restaurant  and perfect for the kids. The restaurant is built around the playground... How smart is that?!?

More coins pictures...

The end of the week was water was just about as perfect as I have ever seen it. So calm and blue....

We wrapped up the trip with a night of crab  hunting...
Which of course included Princess headlights  :)

I told my mom before we left that at least this year was over and I hope and pray that next all of our family would be there.

4th of July at the Lake

We spent the 4th at the lake this year. Even though the weather was not ideal 4th weather we still managed to have a fun time and inclide some water time fun.

Cousin Les was there so that was big fun for the girls..
I'm pretty sure Ellie wore him slap out with her constant playing and games.

We enjoyed a hot dog roast and marshmallows and smores.

We paraded around with flags...

And watched fireworks...

And we were part of the boat parade....

Annie held on for as long as she could... But just couldn't make it to the end....

And we just so happened to win first place in the parade...

I would say that was a pretty good trip... Wouldn't you?!
