Gearing up for summertime

We have started up the past few weeks doing fun summer time activities.
We took a trip to the zoo and renewed our membership,so we can make lots of zoo visits this summer.

It was warm enough and pretty enough to where the girls could play in the splash pad at the zoo.
Ellie loves it from the second we got there. Annie took just about the whole time to warm up to the idea of it. She really loved it last year but was pretty uncertain about it this time until it was time to go so we will see how she comes around to it this summer.

I for once didn't bring the stroller or wagon because I thought we could run off some energy and hopefully get a good afternoon nap. The girls didn't think too much of my idea and fussed at me and wanted to be carried around the zoo so next time we will bring something with wheels.

We have also been doing some swimming.
Ellie loves to swim and has actually become a pretty good swimmer. She is also super excited because now she can touch the bottom of the pool!

One down side to her confidence is that she it totally against wearing her life jackets which makes me so nervous.

Little miss Annie is really starting to love to swim too.
She is doing great with her puddle jumper. She can swim around the pool and hold her head up water.
She also likes she jump in and climb in and out of the water.
So...you can imagine what I look like at the pool following Ellie around like a crazy person since she doesn't wear a life jacket and trying to hold onto Annie because she is trying to climb up the big later and then make a big jump into the pool :) fun fun

Ellie and I have also made a fun trip to the movies.
We went to se Rio 2.
The first rio was her first movie to go see so I had really been wanting to take her to see the second rio. It was fun to do something just me and her and the movie was pretty cute too.
I am wanting to bring Annie next time once the summer dollar movies start. That way it will be ok if she acts up and we need to leave :)
So we can look forward to that too!

Carline games

By one o clock miss Annie is super ready to see her sister but we usually have to wait in carline so we have to be creative and play while we wait :)

We like to look at books, play " who sees Ellie first",sing our favorite songs  and of course take pictures. :)

Picnic at school

For Ellie's and of the year party they had a beach party with a picnic outside.
She was so excited about this party...she was counting down the days.
One of the reason she was so lumped up was because they were going to get to play with water and eat ice cream for a snack :) that girl has a sweet tooth like  me  you have NeVeR seen!

She was really excited too that Annie came. She is so proud of Annie and really loves showing her off. It really is sweet .

Annie of course had a grand time. She has started having fun about everywhere she goes. I'm glad she does...because she doesn't always make it so fun for me. Ha!

This little bit doesn't know it yet but in just a few weeks she will be starting school too. I signed them up for the summer program. It's just one day a week but I am SUPER excited about this.
I know if she gets over being away from me  she will really have the best time ever.

Pirate and princess party

We celebrated Ellie and Annie's cousins 4 th party a few weeks ago with a pirate and princess party.
Ellie  seriously had the best time ever. They drew a treasure map and went on a treasure hunt in the woods. She has been asking me to draw a treasure map... So her wish came true :)

Here are a few pictures from the party.

Another great thing about this party is that this is what our 730 looked like :)

Lately

For some reason as hard as I try not to be... We have been busy!!
I try an tell myself every week that we are going to have a slow, relaxing week but at the end of each week I am thinking... Wow I am tired!
This coming week is Ellie's last week of school. I am debating the idea of the summer programs. It would just be one day a week for  both of them. On good days I think... No I want them to stay with me all summer. On bad days I think... I am going to sign them up tomorrow ;)

We have been doing lots of fun summery things  and I am hoping to catch up on my post this week so stay tuned!!!
