Happy Birthday

We celebrated mommas birthday a few weeks ago.
I cooked one of my favorites...Chicken Keiv and the girls and I made a chocolate cake :)

A few weeks ago we celebrated mommas birthday.
I cooked one of mine and hopefully her favorites...Chicken Keiv and the girls and I made a chocolate cake. That was pretty adventurous with my two little helpers but it actually turned out tasting and looking pretty good :)
So that was a double score !

Nanny-mommy

I snagged this picture while we were eating cake.
Annie just loves her cousin Noah and I looked down and saw this sweetness.
Noah's the big boy now and. It much in for taking picture with the little kids so I had to sneak one on him :)

Outside time

There have been some sunny pretty days for January and we have taken advantage of them and played outside or paid a visit to the park.

Miss Annie has become pretty good and pretty fast at riding her tricycle.
She is very proud of her little self :)

Ellie is working with her daddy on taking off her training wheels.
She wants it so badly.

They have so much fun being outside. They play so well together and always  have a grand time :) it makes me wish we had more sunny pretty days in January because I think it's so good for them and me to be out in the sunshine :)

Heaters and hair

The few nights that it got so cold around here we rounded up the space heaters we could to keep ourselves warm in almost 100 year old house :)

The girls realized that space heaters could be " fun" and started using them them as dryers and brushed and dried their heart with them...

There had a big time.. And who knew you would have so much fun with space heaters?!?

I didn't get a picture of Ellie's but it turned out beautiful, shiny and straight as a board.

Annies on the other hand did not....
However she thought it looked "beauful"

Kittens and dress up

I was looking through my pictures and I knew that this title would cover about half of my January picture I uploaded. I feel like when we are home all all we do is change dress up clothes and play with kittens.... And I have pictures to prove it :)

Wrapping up 2014

Christmas with the Harbisons

We started celebrating early so this was the first Christmas that we had.
Ellie remembered the whole gift thing from last year but Annie was a little slow to catch on but once she did she was hooked and wanted to open them all.

Ellie and her Harbison cousins.
Annie always opts out of these pictures

Trying to get a cheese...

Trussville Christmas Parade.
We walked down to it. It was really much colder than I thought it was going to be so we didn't stick around long afterwards.

Our newest tradition is Briarwood live nativity.
We went last year and really enjoyed it.
This year we skipped a  few of the scenes but the girls had no idea and we still had just as much fun.

Little did we know that Annie had the flu... I knew she had a bad cough but didn't know until I took her to the doctor the next day she was positive for the flu... Poor second baby.

Ellie's school program.
She looks so big and grown p no you can't see it from this picture but she is wearing SOCKS and shoes which is a huge deal for her. I cannot believe this is her last year in preschool and next year she will be in kindergarten :( talk about one sad mommy

Disney!!!
We finally made it!
The girls did great on the flight and were so excited to get there!
There were very patient with there mommy and all my picture taking :)

It was the time of the year everybody wanted to be down there. That place was packed! We were able to do and see just about everything that we wanted to. I am sure that there is much more that we don't know about but I'm ok with that :)

Out of all the princesses we met I think the favorites were rapunzel, Elsa, anna and Ariel.
Now after going Annie has become a HUGE rapunzel fan and loves wearing her rapunzel dress and shoes and hat and anything else rapunzel she can find.

We loved being down there and Ellie already wants to know know when we are going back. She loved meeting the characters but I think she loved the rides more. Her favorite was Tower of Terror and to all that know her that is no surprise

Christmas inStarkville
This is such a fun special time for us.
We get to spend Christmas eve and part of Christmas morning with our family at my grandparents house in Mississippi. We have been doing this since I was little. I don't know how much longer we will be able,to do this but I know that I will always remember it and have a special  memory of it in my heart

Christmas at Awmaw and Papaws
Ellie was so happy to see Maggie after missing her while we were in Disney

Christmas with Grumps and Ann

The dreaded week between Christ as and new year. Trying to stay warm with fires and keep our tummys happy with s'mores.

New Years Eve ...

Probably not the best idea...

But they really loved the sparklers....

I would say it has been a pretty good year...

Hi!

Hello from the year 2015!
No the year 2014 did not kill us :)
We are still here and alive... Although some days I have to pinch myself.  I want to blog but that means catching up and that overwhelms me and I don't need anything else to feel overwhelmed about right now so I have become ok with the idea of a dump post to catch me up :)
So now you have something to look forward to. If I am settling for dump post in 2015 who knows what else 2016 will bring :)
