Back to school shopping

Friday we did a little back to school shopping at the Galleria... Along with all of Birmingham 😕

We really did not have a lot of stuff to get and I was happy about that when I realized how crowded that place was. 

We finally found Annie some pink toms... Although they were not the exact ones I was looking for. We got them anyways and marked that off our list 😊

We are a yummy lunch ( according to Ellie) at McDonald's 😀 on a bench becasue there were NO empty tables in the entire Galleria. 

And the girls rode the carousel... All by themselves. Which is a first for us 🎉

So now as far as I know... We are finished with back to school shopping and we can stay far away from all shopping malls until after school starts.

Fun, busy week

Now that all the things inside our house are finished I feel like I spent most of the week just getting things back the way they need to be and getting everything in each room that needs to be in each room. 

One room that was a disaster was Henry's room. Most all of the stuff from the living room had been stored in his room and so ALL of his stuff was crammed in his closet. So we spent a large part of one day pulling out his clothes and washing them and putting them away. It feels so good to have everything ready for him!!!

We had gymnastics and went went to eat afterwards at our favorite... Chick-away!!

We had a cooking day!!! I had been planning on doing this and was so happy to have it done. I was able to... With the help of two little people... Put up about 15 meals for when Henry is here and I don't feel like cooking. 

Annie had ballet and Ellie played outside on the playground. It is a rickety old thing but she has asked over and over about playing on it. She had the best time playing and make believing on it. I love to see her play and be happy and content like that. 

Thursday night we made homemade pizza... Annie made a snake and I couldn't help but notice the resemblance between it and the snake Matt killed in the yard last week 😂😱

Sunday afternoon at Turkey Creek

Sunday after church and lunch we headed over to Turkey Creek Preserve to cool off. 

This was our second visit there. We decided on a different location this time becasue last time the water was deeper and right by the waterfall and we may or may not have seen a snake 🙈🙈 🐍

So this time we searched out out spot a little more carefully. 

It really is a neat place to visit and water was so cool and refreshing and very clear. There were lots of rocks so we were all very happy to have our waterproof shoes. Also the location that we were at this time was nice because there weer different water levels around and you could decide to wade or swim. 

Such a great afternoon ☀️

Last week.

Last week was very busy and labor intensive 😀 we got back from the beach on Saturday around noon and matt worked like crazy on finishing up the hard work floors and I worked on getting the paint done. I am giddy to announce that all of the hardwood is in and everything (that is getting painted) is painted 😀😍

We have been enjoying lots of yummy things from the garden.... Sadly not so much our garden... But  Awmaw and Papaws. One of our favorites from this time of the year is homemade salsa... It is seriously the BEST salsa I have ever tasted. 

This sweet little thing has just been melting me lately. She really can be the sweetest little human being ever. She is such a unique kid and I just love her little self to pieces. 

She is so hard headed and very strong willed and that can be hard for me sometimes 😀 but she loves so hard and strong too and I just love that about her. 

I am so ready for Henry to be here so I feel like doing and am able to do more fun things with her and her sister too. 

I have got back to school on my mind. It's still a little ways off but I know the next few weeks will fly by trying to get ready for school and the baby....

Anyways... I got this backpack for Ellie last year for kindergarten. It's LL Bean and so I felt like it should hold up and it did for the most part but this reflective material did NOT hold up and I was pretty disappointed with how it looked. I had heard that LL Bean had a good satisfaction guarantee but I struggled with sending it back because I just hated to be one of "those" customers... But I really expected it to last longer than one year... And kindergarten too. So I just called to talk ton them about it... And they said return it... It should have held up better than it did and now we have a new one coming in the mail. Yay!

Little Ballerina

Annie has been talking abou ballet for months. She is determined that she has taken before and that she loves it. 

Well Tuesday to started her summer session and she did love it. She was dancing as soon as we got in the door. 

It was so sweet and I got a few pictures of her. 

On Wednesday when she woke up she had tears because she realized that she wasn't going back until next week💗 

Navarre Beach 2016

We made our annual trip to Navarre beach last week. This trip has always been fun and special trip for our family. We have so many memories that have been made there and the girls have started making special memories there too. 

We started off our week celebrating Matts birthday. I ask him every year..." How is it that you mange to spend every birthday at the beach?!?" 

In Annie's words " that's not fair !!"

But it is always great becasue we get to spend the whole birthday with him 💙

We spend lots of time playing and being silly...

And playing in the waves with cousins... Waving is what they called it 😀

We had a great time celebrating the 4th on the beach and watching all the beautiful fireworks 

And even did a few by ourselves.

Every single day was pretty and there wasn't a drop of rain while we were there... Which was great!

We made our out to eat trip to Flounders... Along with everybody else in Pensacola 😁

We had a great time and it was so nice to get away and relax and be right on the beach with the people that we love 😀

Happiest Birthday!!

Today was a special day...

It makes me happy thinking about the day my best friend came into the world. The world is most certainly brighter and better because of him and I am so thankful because I get to spend my life with him.

Around here lately

Here again we have not really been doing much but seem so busy!!!

Some days I want to hide in my house and say no to everything and everyone 😀

I have to look through my pictures to see what we have going on sometimes 😀

After we got back from the beach we decided to trade in my car and get a new one so we would have more room for baby Henry.

We had to take a picture with my old car so we could remember it and tell Henry about it. 

We celebrated a late Father's Day with my dad at Melt downtown. Fun but hot

Matt and I celebrated our 12 year wedding anniversary on Saturday.

We went out to eat and did a little shopping... Which is much more fun to do when you are kid free 

I went to a paint party Monday night for a friends birthday. I was so happy with the way it turned out. I haven't figured out where to hang it yet but I think it's hang worthy 😊

Monday night we went to eat at Texas De Brazil for June and July birthdays with Matts family.

Now we are getting ready to head to the beach for the 4th
