Our ChildlessTrip

The weekend after Valentine's Day Matt and I headed over to a Bed and Breakfast outside of Atlanta. Ellie stayed with her Mamaw and I have no doubt she had a great time!
The place we stayed was called Serenbe.
It was so nice.
We had been trying to go before but it never worked out until now.
As soon as we got there I think we both felt a little guilty for leaving Miss Ellie behind because there were lots of sweet animal and baby goats which I know Ellie would have gone crazy over.
There was also this really cool tree house and alot of other things for her to do so she will have to come along for the fun next time!
The Bed and Breakfast was in a community and on alot of land with a farms, lake and pond.
Everything was so neat and different, even the light post!

We spent Friday afternoon relaxing and we walked around the community a little while.
We ate at the restaurant in the Bed and Breakfast called the Farmhouse.
It was great and just down the hallway from our room which made it even better!
After we ate, Matt attempted to teach me how to play chess :)
It was a learning experience!
On Saturday we woke up and ate a wonderful breakfast at the Farmhouse again then headed to Atlanta.
I have have been wanting so badly to go to the Ikea store and we finally got to go!
I was so, so excited!
After Ikea we hung aroung the Atlantic Station area.
We saw a super cool Target and ALMOST had to go inside. It just looked so cool on the outside I kept thinking it MUST have cooler stuff inside than ours does :)
THen we went to see The Vow.
It was good but very, very sad.
After that we headed back to the Bed and Breakfast.
We got back a little earlier than our reservations so we drove around the community.
We had been told that the HGTV Green Home was being built there and we finally found it!
It was not finished yet but it was really neat to see.
We ate at a restaurant in the community called The Hil.
Even though I had pizza, it was really good!
We woke up Sunday moring, ate breakfast and headed back home to see our sweet baby girl!
We had a great time and cannot wait to go back!

Bathtime Fun!

Exploring

We went for a walk the other day and walked across the street to the park with the waterfall.
It was only my second time there but it is so beautiful and when you get back there it is hard to believe that you are in the middle of Trussville.
Ellie had the most fun :)
She were her rain boots which was perfect because she was able to play in the water and splash!
She found a little bug and was so interested in it.
I am sure now Miss Ellie will not let us forget that it is just across the street and we will be visiting it more often!

Thanks!

I must have been good!
Yesterday Matt went out of town and when he came home he had stopped by the Dutch Oven Bakery and brought home cinnamon rolls, chocolate fudge and jalapeno bread! Yumm!
I have sampled it all and it is all wonderful!!
I was most excited about the jalapeno bread because we had some a while back and it was so great and we have been talking about it since then!!
Thanks Matt!!!

Keeping Busy

We are ready for Spring. I know the weather has been feeling very springish lately but I am ready to look out the window and see green on the grass and trees and things blooming.
So in order to pass the time to Spring :) we have been trying to stay busy, busy and for the most part it has worked because it is already Febuary! Hooray!!
Ellie has been big into playing lately...which is great!
She has been playing with her kitchen, blocks, and animals ALOT.
I love playing with her and I also love watching her play and just wondering what she is thinking about when she plays.
She loves her animals and loves to line them up very orderly...She even put the momma giraffe by the baby giraffe. I know..She is SO smart :)
She had started to learn about things that match and go together.
She was so proud of herself when she showed me all her animals lined up perfect!
Then she started dancing and twirling telling me "Mo" which was instructions to take more pictures of her. And how could I resist?
