Spring is in the Air

With this springy weather and Easter around the corner we have had to spring up our wardrobe  :)

Happy spring from this little chicks...

And DR Annie

Haircuts and Easter Eggs fun

Ellie got her hair cut and we had to take a picture because it looked so cute and because she was so excited about her Easter fun planned at school. She had a Easter egg hunt planned and the excitement was uncontainable :)

I had planned on getting Annie hair trimmed too but when we got there I backed out. I felt like it hasn't grown much and it isn't really that uneven anywhere so we just did a pretend cut so she wouldn't be sad that she didn't get to join in on the hair cutting fun!
And then we had to take a picture of her hair too because it's so pretty too :)

Ellie came home with her bag of eggs and was just as excited as when I dropped her off.
We went through this...

And looked inside each egg...
She popped open that blue candy eggs and split it with Annie and then she was over the eggs :)

Last week

Last week was the first week that it really started to feel like spring to me.
That feeling hot me moving because it made me realize all the stuff we had to do in the yard and around the house because spring was springing!!

Annie and I went shopping one day last week and she was just the sweetest.
She loves just gets tickled when she gets to go out with mommy alone and I must say I feel the same :)

In less than two weeks my sweet not so baby Ellie will be turning 5.
I know. I have to reread that line and I am the one who wrote it!!
All I can say is time flies.
Anyways we sat down and made a birthday list since Ellie LOVES list and came up with this...

Every morning before my feet hit the floor I am in need of some coffee.
Well the other morning I made me a cup and was still dragging and started to make #2 and saw the problem.. The big d word

Now I am a fan of decaf but that is a afternoon thing... It has no place in the morning.

This past weekend. I worked a 12 hour shift. I haven't done 12 hours in Forever!!!
I usually do 8s, like 8s and plan to stick with 8s but work got so busy I felt so guilty for leave I stuck around for a 12.

I saw this on Facebook when I took my lunch break at 2pm at work and thought how appropriate it was :)

Mcwane again and Sleeping Beauty

We had so much fun at Mcwane last time we had to go back for more :)
Our friends were going to meet us there  and we didn't see everything we wanted to last time we went so back we went. The girls were Iist as if not more excited to go. Sometimes it's pretty easy to make them happy :)

I thought this picture was too funny...

Ellie insisted on taking a picture herself of the jellyfish. She really liked them :)

The girls always love this thing. I don't know if it's because it's the first thing when you come in they can do or what but it's always a big hit with the Jones girls!

So now I think we have had our Mcwane fill for a while and our next outing will be the zoo or the botanical gardens.

And lastly I had to share a picture of my sweet, naked sleeping beauty baby.
Something about sleeping babies just melts my heart.

Party!!

Baby Morgan is one!!

So we helped celebrate!

Because one is such a BIG thing!!! And we LOVE sweet MoRgAn

We always had a fun time playing and catching up with our small group friends :)

Happy first Birthday baby Morgan!!

WDW Remembered

Instead of doing an autograph book while we were in Disney we did signatures on pillow cases instead with fabric pens. Then I got then appliquéd and monogrammed and they turned out like this!

I was happy with how they turned out but more important Miss Ellie and Miss Annie were thrilled with how they turned out and they always bring up the conversation of... " when are we going back again?!?"

Memories

My sweet Grandaddy isn't doing very well.
Just to write those words hurts my heart and fills my eyes with tears. He has always been and is so special to me. I have so so many memories with him and my granny. They are and have always been such a big part of my life. They are very special people and knowing they are struggling and hurting just kills me.

We have been going over to Starkville where there live a lot the past few weeks. There are so many special memories that I have there. I love being there because it reminds me of so many happy good times that have past but now it is very sad and hard because I know things are changing.

A few weeks ago my cousin Daisy and I were there together and we went running. We ran by the house that she was born in. We found where her sisters name was written in the concrete by her dad who is now gone. We talked about some of the memories she had with him. It's almost been two years since he has been gone. Life here on earth is so hard.

I took a picture of her in front of her in their old house. It made my heart happy and ache all at the same time to think of all the things that have happened since she had lived there.

I know that things change and that is the way life is here on earth. I just long for the day when our Savior makes everything right.

Wacky Wednesday and a pedicure date

A few weeks ago Ellie had wacky Wednesday at school.
I knee that would be right up her alley. I told her about it and she said " ok but first dress annie like like" I explained that it was only her class and she could dress as crazy as she wanted and then she was on board.  We were running a little late but this is what we came up with.

The funniest thing she thought was that she was wearing two different shoes:)

Annie and I went with Aunt Ashley and had a pedicure.
She just loves being pampered...

She sat so still while they painted her toes :)

A visit with baby Rowan

Baby Rowan came home from the hospital and we went to visit!
The girls had not been able to hold Rowan while she was in the hospital and they were just dying to get their hands on her.

They both just loved her to pieces.
Even Ellie who is not usually big on baby dolls and such didn't want to let her go.

Fancy pants just ate up her snuggle time and kept on trying to find more time to hold her avian.

I didn't want to leave her either.
She looked just like a little baby doll all wrapped up.
She is so sweet and cuddly. I could just sit all day and hold her and not even care that I didn't get one thing accomplished :)

A day at the mall

We have just about run out of winter indoor activities...
I'm so ready for spring to come and stay.
We have been meeting our friends at the mall and eating lunch and riding the carousel and earl g lunch and going to the lego store. It's a fun different indoor thing to do and the girls seem to like  love it.

Picking which animal we are going to ride is always a big hit.

These two girls have become sweet little friends!
( even though they don't look like it)

Hopefully when spring comes we can meet at the park :)

Snow day

They had forecasted snow and school was cancelled.
We had done all the fun things we could think of...
And we waited and waited...
Made indoor s'more...

Got really excited about them :)

Finally realized that it wasn't going to do anything until bedtime.
Put Annie to bed...
Looked out the window saw snow. Showed it to Ellie and let her play in it for a few minutes before bedtime.

Woke up to snow!
Went out to play around 630 because we were worries it would all melt away if we waited too long.

Had a snowball fight!

Built a snowman... Which is what Ellie had been talking all about!!!

Annie waited inside while we played and froze outside . She didn't think too much of the cold and snow :)

Ellie and Macy

This girl loves her kitty.
When I try and explain to people how laid back macy is I don't think they understand.
So this picture should explain it. Macy was hanging from this baby carrier on the scooter and was purring the whole time.

Perfect kitty for this little girl who cannot keep her hands off her pet :)

Mcwane

I can't remember the last time we went to the Mcwane Center so during one of our " snow days" we made a visit. We had a fun time and the girls wanted to stay the whole day so we will have to make another trip back soon because we didn't make it to all the floors because it was time for nap time  and that's something we don't miss.

Me and Ellie had fun writing Annie and Ellies name with the light brights.
That girl is obsessed with letters and words right now.

The bubbles were a big hit too.

And we spent most of our time at the good old water table.
The had so much fun with the water and measuring cups and little buckets. I'm sure if I pulled that out at my house it would not entertain for hours but at Mcwane it does.

So we know where our next rainy day will be spent ;)

Songs by the girls

We had a few performances last night and I decided to share!

Cousins and sweet smiles

Last weekend we had a spend the night party with cousins. That is always a big time. Ellie has been just itching to have a spend the night guest and so River and Rileigh stayed the night.

I do believe they a fun time was had by every little person :)

For some strange reason I dint feel like I can take enough pictures of these sweet smiling faces.
Sometimes I get a panicked feeling that it has been a while since I have taken a picture of there sweet face and you would actually be able to see the change from one picture to the next... That's when I take out my phone or camera and start clicking. Weird... I know.

My newest goal in pictures is to try and get a true smiling picture of her.
She always gives me these silly " chese" pictures
But I guess I should just be happy she looks at the camera

This little girl is full of silly smiling faces too
I love the way her hair looks in the pictures.. All crazy and big as she calls it :)
