"Its beginning to look alot like Christmas"

So this weekend while we had a long break off work we decorated our house for Christmas!
I cannot believe it is that time of year again...
Anyways Ellie loved it!
Here she was helping pick out the tree.
We found the perfect one...
Then we got it home and realized what made it so tall was the one branch on top...
So we had to trim it to get the star on. It looks different now but it is still pretty!
Ellie and Matt decortaing the tree...
Ellie looking at the ornaments.
She really loves having the tree in the house.
In the morning she runs in there and points at it and goes "hhhaaa! Wow!"
It is so sweet.
I know she is going to be so fun this Christmas!!

Thanksgiving #3

We spent our third and final Thanksgiving celebration at my Mom's house with my sisters, their kids and my Granny and Grandaddy.
It was crazy with 5 children 5 and under but I know one day we will look back and miss these times. Ellie had a blast though. She LOVES her cousins so much and usually plays really well with them!
Ellie loved her turkey placemat and ate her Thanksgiving meal on it!
She has fun playing outside with her sweet cousins!
And we just had to get a picture if these sweet girls in their matching turkey dresses that their sweet Aunt Melissa made them!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving #2

Happy Thanksgiving!
We had a great day spending time with our family!
We woke up and Ellie and I made our traditional monkey bread.
She was not a huge fan of it this year but she loved the sugar and cinnamon mix.
We hung around the house and watched a mixture of Elmo and Macy's Parade.
Then we got ready and headed over to my Mom's to pick up River and Rileigh.
We took them over to Pawpaw Henrey's house to see the animal.
They loved the dogs.
Ellie also got to hang our with her other cousin Riley Grace.
Then we went back over to my Mom's and ate supper with them and made some turkey placemats with the kids!

18 Months

So now that Ellie is 19 months I guess it is finally time to do her 18 month post :)
I was waiting for us to go to the doctor for her check up...then I just plain old forgot about it.
But anyways!!
We had her Check - Up a few weeks ago and he said she looked great.
Another GREAT thing is that we don't have to have another checkup until she is two...HOORAY!!
18 Months Stats:
HC: 19 1/4 inches
Weight: 25.8 lbs ( 83%)
Height: 32 3/4 inched ( 80%)
Here are some things we don't want to forget about you at 18 months:
* The way you love to tell everything bye-bye and give or blow kisses. You have the sweetest little heart.
* How you love so slide and swing. Going to the park is one of your most favorite things to do!
* How much you LOVE LOVE LOVE school. Whenever we drive past your school you yell out "cool!!!" It makes me so happy!
* How smart you are. You just amaze us every single day with what you know and how quick you learn.
* How crazy you are about animals. You adore dogs. I think you would live outside with Jack if I would let you. You know what most animals say and if you don't know then you just make it up...Silly little one!
* How happy you are when your Daddy comes home from work. You stand at the back door and just wave and smile. I know this melts his heart!
* The oh so silly face you make when you have lost something or are asking where something is. It makes me laugh!
* The sweet way you like to be rocked before you fall asleep at night with your blanket...or your "night-night" as you would call it.
Our sweet little Ellie, I love you more than you will ever know. You are changing so much and it makes me sad to think about you growing up but at the same time it makes me happy to see you changing and learning! You are SO very special to us. I love you my sweet little love.

Decisions, Decisions

The other day little Miss Ellie and I were shopping at T.J. Maxx and I had told her she could get a toy. We went back to were the toy section is and she started to play with two different play phone. She just loves phones so I was not surprised that she grabbed those first. So I told her she could have one of them and take it home with her. So she chose the cell phone instead of the pull along phone. She told the other phone bye bye...blew it some kisses and walked away. Well we got to the check out and she spotted something that she loves very dearly....candy. I kept on trying to distract her but it just wasn't going to happen. She was set on the candy..So she sat her cell phone toy down, picked up the candy, told her cell phone toy "Bye-Bye", walked away and never looked back! Silly little Ellie Bellie with a BIG sweet tooth!

Breakfast Outside

Since the weather has been so nice we have been eating breakfast outide after we go walking in the morning....and somebody LOVES it!

Santa Visit

We had our first visit to Santa for the year and it went ALOT better than I expected.
She wasn't thrilled about the idea of sitting in some strangers lap but she tolerated it. She was a little more okay with the idea when she realized she would get candy too!
Here are Santa pics from last year....
What a big girl!!!

Carving Pumpkins

Over the weekend my family came over to our house to carve pumpkins.
Ellie was so excited to see all her cousins!
All the girls ate their supper together!
We had a yummy...but scary dirt cake too!
Elllie hated the inside of the pumpkin, she just lost it when I let her feel it :)
Here were our pumpkins once we finally finished...
You cant see them really good in this picture...
But I thought they turned out so cute!
