Dancing queens

I can't say this happens to often. I would love it to happen more often than it does... But every now and then these two little ones just can't get enough of each other. That was the case the other night and it was just the sweetest ❤️

They danced and performed and danced some more.

When things are this great and sweet around here it makes me wonder what I have done right :)

Soccer fans

Last night we went to cheer on Jenna and her team while she played soccer...

Although Jenna was not as interested in the game as she was just being silly... We still had a great time being out there.

And having a fun time while we visited our sweet cousin.

**small side note... I have been trying extremely hard to get Ellie and eventually Annie to play soccer ( like their mommy) and now after last night both the girls said they want to play after Christmas.. Yay!!

Family weekend

This past week was nice and relaxing.
Friday night Ellie went to spend the night with her cousin Clay.
To say she was excited about this would be an understatement. She was was beyond excited. She had a great time and has already asked no less than 20 times when can she go back...

Saturday morning I went to luncheon and Annie stayed with Melissa while Matt worked on the house.

After that Annie and I went to run some errands...

This is her new funny face 😂

Saturday night we grilled steaks and my mom came over to eat.
I made oven smores for desert.

The girls were just beyond silly Saturday night. I don't know what had gotten into them but they were wild.

Sunday morning we went to church...

And uncle Seth came over to eat lunch with us after church...
What a nice and relaxing weekend with our family❤️

Addition Update

Bright and early yesterday morning we had big entertainment...

The storm shelter and last wall was poured for the addition!!
I was so happy to see the last part being poured... Knowing that the framing is next and that will go pretty fast. But I know Matt was even more excited than me because he has been working on the thing like crazy and I know he is glad to have it behind him.

Next step is all the wood comes off and then the framing starts Monday.

Hooray!!

Annie M.

On Monday this sweet three year old had her 3 year old check up. She was very excited about going and seeing Dr Harmon.
She was such a big girl and shed no tears when they stuck her finger for a cbc. She is growing so big!
Wt: 34 lbs (80%)
Ht: 37 1/4  ( 88%)

The only time she cried was when she got a flu shot and that makes me want to cry too.

Here are some things we want to remember about our sweet girl at 3 years old:
- your sweet, soft, bouncy curls
- how you love Sophia and strawberry shortcake. You always want to play pretend. You say" you be strawberry and I will be Lemon "
- the way you say " silly" I just love it and could hear it over and over
- your sweet little freckles on your nose.
- how you love to give kisses. You are always kissing us and it's just the sweetest.
- the way your nose crinkles up when you smile.
- how you love to be the baby. I don't think you will ever give that up and that's ok with me because no matter how big you get you will ALWAYS be my baby.

Sweet Annie girl... I love you so very much.

Addition

Sometimes when I look at the backyard I am in shock. That explains why I leave the curtains pulled and the blinds shut.

I know that adding on is a process but that still doesn't make it look any prettier.

Anyhow, the girls are just LOVING it.  Ellie wants to be in the middle of it. It makes me a little worried when I think about how many outfits we are going to ruin in the mud hole 😬

She climbed up here all by herself tonight and was so happy and proud

I do have more pictures to show of the process that is being made I just haven't gotten around to taking pictures yet!!

Last week...

Last week was a busy busy week...
We had plans every night of the week and I am not a big fan of that.

Monday was Labor Day and I had to work. After work we went over to Matts grandparents for homemade ice cream...

Tuesday Matt went to Texas and I had an out to eat baby shower for a friend.
Thanks to aunt Em for coming over to watch the girls so I didn't have to miss out :)

Wednesday night I volunteered at a consignment sale. 4. Hours. Need it say more?

Thursday night I shopped the sale.
Matt and the girls rode with me and dropped me off and ran some errands while I shopped. This picture explains our week...

Friday was Annie's birthday party. At 6 pm so basically the whole day was spent running around getting things ready. Now I am ready for a slower week :)

Annie's 3rd Birthday Party

For the last 6 months Annie has talked about her strawberry shortcake party.
She has been so excited about it and on Friday the day finally came.

I was really not too sure how to have a strawberry shortcake party other than just eat strawberry shortcake but after lots of Pinterest searching I found some cute ideas.

Since the party was at 6pm we had pizza, salad, spinach dip and veggie tray for supper.
Then we had a dessert table that took care of strawberry and all her friend.
We had different kind of shortcakes and strawberries ( strawberry shortcake), blueberries( blueberry muffin),and raspberries ( raspberry tort) to put on top. We also had lemon bars ( lemon meringue), plum sugar cookies ( plum pudding) and orange jello ( Orange blossom).

Annie also said that she wanted a swimming party at her Awmaws and Papaws house... So that is what this big three year old got :)

She had a great time swimming and playing with all her friends!

We ended up having to move the part inside because of the wind and rain like weather. We only had some sprinkles but I think all the kids were worried because the wind was blowing so very hard.

Annie was. Ego d excited about her Frozen bike.

Family picture after blowing out the candles.

You can tell from this picture that the birthday girl was a little overwhelmed... But you only turn 3 once...right ?!

She loved loved all of her gifts and would have opened just one at a time and played with it if I was not pushing her to get them all opened :)

The Sophia dress and shoes were  a big hit and has been worn every day since the party.

Now we are partied out until April ☺️🎈🎉

Annie is 3

3 days after my birthday my BABY turned 3 😭

It is just so hard for me to believe that she is growing so fast.
I find myself staring at her wondering where the time has gone.

She was so excited about her birthday.
We had some yummy daylight donuts for a morning birthday treat..

And she loved it!

She wore her birthday dress...
I'm pretty sure that this will be the last time she will wear it and that makes me even more emotional 😢

After church we went to eat where every three year old should eat for their birthday...
Chuck E Cheese

Sissy was so excited too!

Cheese!

That night we went over to my dads to celebrate his 60th birthday which was on the 11th of  September.

We had more candles to blow out...

September birthday!

And more sweets for my sweet girls!
