Big girl cup

So I started thinking back and I was thinking that by 6 months Ellie was drinking out of a sippy cup so I got one for Annie to try and she did great! She loves it and now whenever she sees it she starts doing a happy, excited dance for it! She is such a silly little bit.

PJ Day

Ellie was excited and a little confused about her pj day at school.
I kept telling her that she was going to wear her pjs to school and she was excited but when it came time to get dressed and we put her pjs on she kept asking me if it was ok....
I thought she looked super sweet in her monkey gown.

Devo

Annie decided to "take in" the Word with her Dad in his morning devo time.

Love

We just finished Crazy Love by Francis Chan is our small group study.
It was a great book and has really helped me with many things I struggle with. If you hadn't read it...
YOU SHOULD!
I saw this quote and wanted to share...

Chattanooga

We didn't have anything planned for this weekend so we made a quick overnight trip to Chattanooga.
We didn't go to the aquarium this time since we had just been to it in the Fall but we did do some other fun stuff.

When we got there we went to the Incline Railway...which was a train that took you straight up the mountain. Ellie loved it!
Once we got to the top of the mountain we walked around and visited an old battleground and lookout mountain. Then we rode the train back down.
We headed to downtown Chattanooga to check int the hotel.
We ate at a really good place that night for supper and got ice cream and headed back to the hotel.
The next morning Matt took the girls down to swim and eat and let me sleep! Yay!
We got ready and went to the Children's Museum. It was smaller but still fun!
Then we got some lunch at a place called Sing it or Wing it....I know sounds like fun....
And went up to Ruby Falls. The walk was long to see the Falls but it was really pretty and Ellie really enjoyed it.
On the way home we went through Scotsborro to see the unclaimed baggage store, I had never been there and have been wanting to go. There was a lot of stuff there and I'm sure you could have found some goodies if you had the time but Ellie and Annie were over it so we left out and headed home.
We made it home and actually had both of the girls in bed by about 7!!

Here are some pictures from our trip...

Valentines Day

We had a oh so sweet Valentines Day celebrating with our sweet little Ellie and Annie.
And we ( Matt and I) had a great night...thanks to Aunt Awissa...for watching E & A so we could go on a date and FINALLY see Safe Haven! Yay!

Here are some pictures from our day!

It's so hard

It's just so hard being little :)

Gymnastics

Ellie had her first gymnastics class last night and she loved it.
She wore her leotard all day long and kept telling me she was ready to go do flips.
And flips she did!
I wasn't really sure what all they would do being so little but they did flip and stretch and jump and balance....which is all lots of fun for Ellie!

Zoo day

Since it was such a beautiful spring like day yesterday we went to the zoo.
It had been a while since Ellie had been and I knew she would LOVE all the animals and of course I was right :)
She has started telling me she is scared so whenever she heard a loud noise she would jump and her eyes would get huge and she would say " I scared!!! Hold you me!!"
The new giraffe encounter is really cool and we sat there for a while and watched the giraffes and ostriches or big chickens as Ellie called them!

Sweet Annie was just her same sweet self and enjoyed the day out too. I know in a few short months she will have lots to say about the animals. I cannot wait to seen what comes out of her mouth :)

5 months

I simply cannot believe that 5 months ago my sweet Annie Morgan came into this world.
Where does time go???
She is such a sweet, sweet baby and just melts my heart every day.

Here are some things we love about you and want to remember for ever at 5 months old
- Your sweet, beautiful smile. You just cannot help smiling. It lights up your whole face and makes everybody around you smile too.
- How you love to roll. As soon as we lay you down on the floor you automatically roll over. You do not like being on your tummy but now you know how to roll back over. Such a big girl!
- How your favorite song is "Ice, Ice Baby" :) Thanks to Mawmaw....we know how to make you happy in the car!
- How you have started to babble. It is just so sweet. I could hear your sweet voice talk all.day.long.
- The sweet rolls all the way down your legs....they are the cutest.
- How you look when you sleep....just like a beautiful angel.
- How little and sweet your sweet baby hands and feet are. I could just eat them up.

Our sweet, beautiful Annie...your are so precious to us. We love you more than you will ever know.
Happy 5 months!!!

Homemade Pizza

For Christmas I got a bread machine and a new baking stone...so I have really been wanting to try some pizza. I was so excited to be able to make my own dough. And it turned out really good too!
I thought it looked pretty and colorful so I took a picture :)

Big Girl Bed

I had no plans whatsoever to move Ellie from her crib into a toddler bed anytime soon.
She slept great in her crib...Only climbed out once and told me over and over that she would never do that again because it scared her. So my plans were to keep her in the crib....forever. Haha!
Not really but at least a little while longer ...but little missy had other plans.
She told me one day that she wanted to sleep in a big girl bed. I told her we would talk about it thinking she would forget about it but of course my little persistent girl didn't forget about it.
She mentioned it a few more times throughout the day. So the very next day she got what she wanted...a big girl bed! She has done great with it. I told her she could not get out of it unless mommy or daddy were there to help...and surprisingly she has listened and not attempted to get out once! I cannot believe it. When I go in to check on her she is always all snuggled up with her head all snuggled down in the covers. It is so sweet.

Let's Roll

As of TODAY, sweet baby girl is rolling both ways!!!
She has been rolling back to stomach for a few weeks now but could not figure out how to roll stomach to back but today ( according to Mamaw) she did it!
Matt said he thinks she will be crawling next month...but I have my doubts.
Or maybe I am just in denial :)
