Go Dawgs!

The other day during the State vs Arkansas game I got out my cowbell for Miss E to play with.
She really loved it. Well she loved chewing on it.
I could not get a picture of her looking at me because she was so busy eating it!

Even though State lost in overtime...we are still VERY proud of our team!!
Go State!

Thanksgiving Day

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day.
I was off work...so that was wonderful by itself.
Thanksgiving we woke up to this yummy stuff...Monkey Bread and watched the Parade.
We hung around the house most of the morning then we went to our church for a late Thanksgiving Day lunch. It was really nice to get together with all our wonderful church friends.
Here is Miss Ellie at church in her cute little turkey shirt...

After we left church we went to visit Matt's Grandad and his wife and all their little critters.
Ellie loved seeing all of the animals that her Papa Henry had.
Here is a picture of one of his " baby" goats.
I know one day she will just LOVE going out there and feeding these animals.

Here is Matt, Ellie and Papa Henry.
I tried to get some animals in there but it just didn't happen.

Here is Matt and Ellie watching the animals.

After we left Henry's house we went over to my Mom's house and ate with her and visited with my Grandparents.
It was really a good day.
Ellie's very first Thanksgiving!

We have been away...

We week we went to Gatlinburg last week and had a great time, but no pictures were taken with my camera because I forgot to put my memory card back into my camera...VERY sad. I know.
Anyways...my sweet sister in law, Emily did let me use her camera but I have not downloaded the pics yet so I will have to do that another post.
So... we had a great time on our trip. It was really nice because Matt was off for 9 days so that was very exciting for us!
While we were in Gatlinburgwe went to Cade's Cove and it was beautiful... as usual!
We did a few little mini hikes while we were there but nothing major ( like the 2 mile hike to the waterfall...sounds pretty but too far for a baby in a stroller!)
The next day we went to eat at the Apple Barn and then went to the Titanic exhibit.
I know it sounds a little cheesy but it was really cool. They had like 400 artifacts from the REAL Titanic.
We came home Wednesday mid morning...thinking we were going to beat the traffic but we were wrong...it took us 6 hours to get home! After that long drive we were so happy to be home!

Pulling Up

Lately Ellie has been wanting to pull up on anything that will be still long enough for her to get up. She doesn't stand on her feet yet...just her knees so she it a little more stable but it still scares me. I like it best when she just laid on her back and played on the floor~

This is right before she had a tumble...That poor little noggin!

We are ready...

We have got all our Thanksgiving decorations up and now...
We are just waiting!
I love Thanksgiving and this time of year.
It brings back lot of wonderful memories of when I was little.
We use to always go to my Granny and Grandaddy's house in Starkville. I love it there!
I remember Grandaddy getting up in the middle of the night to put the turkey on the smoker...I always thought that that was so funny.
I also remember the BIG game ( MSUVS OLE Miss.) that was always going on when we were in Starkville. We usually never went to it but you could just feel the excitement around Starkville on that game day.
On Thanksgiving Day me and my three sisters would crawl into my grandparents bed and watch the Thanksgiving Day Parade. We loved it! It was such a fun special time that I will never forget.
On the day after Thanksgiving we would try to go shopping in Starkville but that is pretty difficult because the only thing that Starkville really had at that time was Wal-Mart, but we went anyways...and we liked it!
It was so much fun being there my mom and dad and sisters and aunt Kelly and her kids and my Granny and Grandaddy. We still get together with everybody for Thanksgiving but we don't usually go to Starkville anymore...it is very sad but it is just so hard for everybody to get over there. So instead everybody comes to Birmingham to celebrate. We will be doing that the Saturday after Thanksgiving and I cannot WAIT!
I hope we will continue doing "traditions" so that Miss Ellie will learn to love them as much as I do!

Picky Eater

I believe that we are going to have a very picky eater on our hands!
Miss Ellie does not like things any NORMAL baby would eat like...
baby food bananas, greens beans, peas, mashed potatoes and so on.
Instead she would rather eat thing like pickles, Olive Garden salad
and bread sticks, Japanese soup and noodles, lemons, oranges and Potato Soup.
I guess she just thinks she is too grown to eat baby food.
I just don'tknow what I am going to do!
I made so much homemade baby food and she won't barely have
anything to do with it...

Here she is eating a pickle yesterday...

We have a tooth!

Little Miss E has been so busy crawling lately that I didn't even realize that she has a tooth...
until today! She has been a little fussier than usual and not sleeping as well so now maybe we have something to blame that on!
She was on the floor today chewing on my old cell phone ( I know this is not the best toy but it keeps her occupied) and I saw her bite down on it and burst into tears. I picked her up and felt her gums and sure enough...down on the bottom was a little baby tooth!
I tried to get her to show it off but this is what she thought of that idea...

KISSABLE

Who ME?!
Yes you...Ellie Reese!
You have the M.O.S.T. kissable cheeks of any baby I know!
They are just so soft and sweet...I could kiss them all day long!

Mini Matt

Ever since I found out that we were having a little girl I just knew she was going to look just like me...but boy was I wrong! This little girl looks JUST LIKE her daddy. I think that it is really their eyes that look so much alike but everybody says we should just call her "little Matt.
Their baby pictures look so much alike it is almost scary...especially when they are smiling that "Harbison Family" smile.
Here are some pictures of the two of them together. See what you think...

458?

I have not printed any pictures from my camera since the first of May.
So as you imagine I had a lot to print...458 to be exact!
I know it is really crazy...but with a kiddo this cute it is hard not to take
a million pictures!

Good thing I printed them at Walgreens and had them
shipped to me for 4 cents a print! Yay!

Ellie meet Santa!

When we went to Homestead Hollow...
Santa was there!
Ellie sat in his lap and did so good!
Hopefully she will do good the next
she meets him!
I think she really likes him!

I am hoping that Uncle Seth will dress up
this year in the Santa suit and let us take
some Santa pics....
What do you think Uncle Seth?

Homestead Hollow

This past Saturday we went to Homestead Hollow.
We have always loved going there and I was really
excited about taking Miss Ellie Reese this year.
I knew that it was suppose to be cool that day
but I didn't know that it was suppose to feel
like the North Pole! It was freezing!
I guess because it was down in a valley it never really
warmed up. When I got in my car to leave at 3pm
my car said it was 49 degrees out...burr!
Poor Ellie... I don't think she has ever felt that cold before!
I brought a big blanket to put on her when she was in the
stroller. So I think for the most part she stayed warm.
It was fun for the most part. My favorite part is the food
and it was delicious as usual. Its funny because we pay to get in...
don't usually buy anything...then pay to eat..oh well!
We like it like that!
Here is Ellie and her cousin Jenna

Anna-Claire at the petting zoo

Jenna being good, sitting in the wagon.
She stayed in the wagon the whole time!
Ellie needs to take some being good lessons
from her!

This was the cute baby goats at the petting zoo!
It was only 6 weeks old...
I thought they were just too cute!
I wanted to take Ellie in but she was sleeping.

7 Months Old

I cannot believe that our sweet baby Ellie turned 7 months on Saturday...
Thats right...7 months!
She is growing so unbelievably fast it makes my heart hurt.
I want her to stay this age forever ( minus the waking up 3 to 5 times a night)
She is such a sweet little angel and we are so in love with her.
*Here are some things we don't want to forget about you at 7 months*
~ The way you have started to crawl. You look so little and cute when you scoot around!
~ The way you have started to babble. It is so sweet and I could just sit and listen to your sweet voice ALL-DAY-LONG. Your favorite things to say are da-da ( not fair!) and blah-blah.
~Your sweet B-I-G smiles! They just melt my heart!
~ The way you have started to dance when you hear music... I just love it!
~ How you sing to yourself when you get sleepy.
~ How much you love Jack.
~ How funny you are in your walker.
~ The way you have started holding out your arms to go to people. It is really sweet!
Our sweet baby girl, we love you SO much!

Sassy

This shirt says it all...
This is one sassy girl and I believe that she knows it too!

And she is off...

That is right!

Our sweet baby girl is crawling!
She had been trying it for the last few weeks
but now she has got the hang of it and
is crawling everywhere!
It is so cute!
She started really doing it the other day when I was at work.
Matt had the broom out and he said she just kept crawling
after it...
Here she is in action...

Swinger

This girl L-O-V-E-S to swing!
Since the start of her time she has loved it!
When she was little bitty we would put her in her swing and she would
stay there and sleep for HOURS at a time.
I dreaded the day when she didn't love her swing anymore.
She still likes it but she would rather be outside swinging in the big swing.
Here are some sweet pictures of our sweet baby girl swinging
This was at her Nanny-Mommy's house over the weekend

At the park

At the park..again

In her baby swing
At about 3 months

At about 6 weeks swinging in the hammock at the beach with her daddy.

Halloween Fun

Saturday night we went over to my Mom's house to trick or treat with little Miss Ellie.

We actually didn't end up going out with her ( because Matt and I both agreed that everybody knew who would REALLY be eating her candy)but we did dress her up and take some pictures while we were at Momma's
We thought she looked so cute in her costume!
Momma's dog Charley did not think looked too cute though.
As soon as I put her down on the floor in her costume her started barking at her!
It was so funny!

Then last night on the "real" Halloween, my Momma, Sister and nephew came over to do our
tradition of carving pumpkins. We also decorated pumpkin cookies too!

Here one of the cookies that we decorated.
They turned out cute, but they were not very good to eat :(

Here are our pumpkins that we carved!

Ellie-Bellie slept through the entire carving part.
I cannot believe that she skipped out on her 1st pumpkin carving tradition!
She did wake up just in time for some pictures though
Here she is with her cousin Noah and the pumpkins.

Here is Miss Ellie holding the pumpkin that her cousin Noah brought for her ( how sweet!)
I had already bought her one but Jack ate it...
