Yesterday and today

Annie got to brushing her hair yesterday morning and it ended up looking like this. Pretty impressive...huh? I feel sure that it grew at least three times it normal size :)

Ellie has been loving learning her bible verses every week.
She is very hard headed about it though. Once I tell her what it is she gets mad at me for correcting her or helping her to learn it in any way form or fashion. She wants to know it right off the bat and gets pretty frustrated if she doesn't get it right away. I'm not sure that is a good thing or a bad thing :/

Here are her ones from the last two weeks that she said for me yesterday while we were in carline.

Yesterday while Ellie was at gymnastics Annie and I went to the garden shop to look for some trees. Annie was getting bored and was telling me that she was "reary do bye bye" but them she found the rocks and I had to pry her away from the garden shop.

She was so excited...

Last. Ought after supper we went to a fall festival at a church down the street.
Ellie was beside herself excited.

It was a fun night!

Today at school...
Annie's class didn't have dress up day so she wore her pumpkin shirt instead so she could be festive too :)

She has been a little camera shy lately...

Ellie's class did dress up today.
She was so excited to be able to wear her costume.

Ellie and her friend Ellie B on the way into school...

After school we ran to walmart...
Ellie always hates to go places after I pick her up from school. She tells me she wants to come home and for Annie to take a nap. She has turned I to such a home body. She use to be my go girl and now she wants to stay home :)

Anyways I needed to run in and get a few things.
This girls rode I. The big buggy and when I say big I mean BIG. I feel like I am driving a limousine when I push that thing.

My purse was close by and Ellie informed me that she knew how to put on lipstick now and she needed to show me ...

Tada!
Perfect...right!?

Annie decided she needed to try too :)

Happy Thursday!

This year and last and our street...

Looking at pictures of my babies of this year...

And last...
They have changed SO much.

I always love our street during the fall time.
When I was young I use to drive up this street during the fall just to see the tress changing colors.
I love how the trees hang I've the road and the colors are so bright and beautiful.

Little did I know many years later I would be living on this street :)
Pictures don't really show how beautiful the colors really are but I thought I would try!

Happy fall!

Boo at the zoo!

We met our small group friends at the zoo last night along with everybody else in Birmingham :) for boo at the zoo!
The girls had a great time! We did the train, carousel and Ellie did the new big slide. There were lots of cute costumes and Ellie and Annie loved looking at them. Their favorite one was Elsa and there were plenty of those to see.

Here are some pictures from our night...

This weekend...

This weekend Matt and I had two wonderful, quiet days all by ourself!!
What did we do?!
Christmas shopping, yard work and washed clothes :) sounds amazing right?
It really was a great weekend. It's always fun and sometimes a little odd feeling to be home for long periods of time without the kids.

The girls spent the weekend with Awmaw and papaw. I know they had a great time! They went for a picnic and played in the creek. Here are the pictures we saw from their weekend :)

Air walk

Friday morning we went and met Owen and
Olivia to jump at airwalk. The girls love it here!!! My only problem here it that Annie thinks that mommy has to do everything that she does... She doesn't realize that here mom is old and much bigger than she is :)

Ellie in mid jump

In the foam pit. Annie wanted us to jump in and then just stay in.

Sweet girl saying " jump me momma!"

Pumpkin carving tradition

We had my family over Thursday night for our ___ annual family pumpkin carving get together.
I always wonder why I volunteer my house ever year :)  it's fun but it's hectic when you have 5 kids under six playing with pumkin parts and slime and wanting extravagant pumpkins carved. I like to give my kids the option of a scary face or happy face and let it be that simple. I hope they haven't got any grand ideas from the other night as far as how pumpkins should be carved because this momma likes to keep it simple.

We did get a little over board on decorating the dirt cake this year. Ellie helped me and she wanted to use all the scary things in the bag.

Isn't it scary?!?
But the best part is it was delicious. Who knew dirt could be so good :)

We carved outside this year. I was thinking the mess was be more manageable of it was outside. And it was... Or for me it was because Matt took care of the cleanup since  it was outside. Yay!

Scary faces....

And here are our finished pumpkins all lit up.
Aren't they cute?!?
