Orange beach mini

We just got back from a mini vacation at Orange beach...

I told Matt last night it's always so fun to get away but it's always so nice to get home too...

The night we got down there we went to see Keith Urban. It was something that we don't ever do so it was fun and new so that was fun.

The next day we spent at the beach. The girls were so excited to finally get to the beach. They had been singing about the beach for weeks and weeks πŸ˜€

Sunday we celebrated Father's Day. We are so blessed to have Matt in our lives and very thankful for all her does for us.πŸ’™πŸ’™

Monday we spent on the pontoon at the island in orange beach. It was a perfect day. The water was beautiful and clear and calm. I could have stayed out there for 5 more hours.

The girls had a great time with the double slide on the boat and so did the adults πŸ’—

16 years

On this day 16 years ago I started dating this boy. I had no idea that that he would be my best friend and my true love.

There are so many memories we have made over the past 16 years....So many things that we have been through but we have been able to get through them all because we have had each other. Side by side.

I love to think back to that Summer 16 years ago. There was nothing that I wanted to do, no where I wanted to be with you by my side. I was crazy about you then and am still just as crazy about you today. I love you. Happy 16 years!

Missing him

The first of June it was a whole year since he has been gone. It's hard for me to believe that we have gone one year without seeing him and hearing his voice and listening to his stories.

The girls still miss him and Annie especially... Talks about him a lot. I don't know how long they will actually have memories of him but I sure do hope it's forever.

I remember so many things with him. I am certain that I will never have another Christmas or thanksgiving or 4th of July that I don't think of him and the memories that I have with him... And lots of other times we spent with him in between. I know that as time goes the memories will be more happy to think about than sad.

I think back to when he was sick last year and it just makes me sick and sad to think about. How miserable he became here on earth. I know that he is healed now and feels no more pain or confusion because he is sitting at Gods feet where he belongs and someday I will see him again.

Demolition and dinner with friends

Our Saturday was busy with some fun and exciting things.
Our last phase of our home addition/ renovation was enlarging two walls in the living room... And this began to happen this weekend!!!
One opening ended up being able to be much larger than we had hoped for and we were very excited about that because it really opened up between the living room and dining room.
We also had the electrician come out Saturday and change out some new fixtures in Henry's room and the girls play room... So that was very exciting too.

Saturday night we went over to my friend Ashli's house. We have been friends for close to 20 years... so it is really fun to catch up with her family and watch the kids play.

Cousin time

We spent last night and today playing with sweet cousins that we haven't seen in a little while.

They always so much fun when they get together and it makes me happy to see them together, playing and happy πŸ˜€πŸ’—

Mcwane

We spent yesterday at Mcwane.
It had been a while since we had been... Maybe even since Christmas.
The girls were very excited to go and I think they had even more fun since it had been so long.

Swim Lessons and VBS

Annie started swim lessons this week. She has been asking to do them for a little while now and I thought that it would be better to do them the start of the summertime so she could use her skills she learned throughout the Summer πŸ˜€

She had a fun time and was very impressed that she had a boy teacher. I told Matt good thing that it was Annie stuck with a boy teacher because Ellie would have straight up declined swimming lessons at that age if she knew she was going to have a boy teach her.

Ellie started VBS this week too and was very excited about going and seeing some of her friends from her kindergarten class. πŸ’—

Happy Summer ☀️⛱🏊🏻

Sell, sell, sell

Last Saturday we had a yard sell and a lemonade sale πŸ˜€

The girls had a big time selling lemonade and making some money. Now they are dying to spend it.

We had our first and probably last... Yard sale. It was worth it and we made a good bit of money but it was so stinkin HOT! And just the idea of it leading up to it stressed me out.

We did get rid of ALOT of stuff and had Lovelady pick up the remainder of it so that was great!!

Summer Reading, sisters and strawberries

Last Wednesday we went to the Civic Center to help kick off the Summer Reading Program. It was a juggling/ magic show. Ellie loved it. Annie hated it πŸ˜€ You win some you loose some.

Since summer has started these two sisters have been fighting like cats and dogs. I blame it on the heat πŸ˜€ and spending too much time together...
So after all the fighting I have been hearing lately it sure did melt my heart to see this the other night after we sat down to watch a movie πŸ’—πŸ’—

The girls love to pick things. We have already been once this spring to pick strawberries but got rained out so we made one more trip to pick.
I knew it would be very hot so we left early and were able to pick 2 gallonsπŸ“

A day at Lets Play

We spent one day last week at Lets Play
It has been a while since we had been there and it took the girls a little while to warm up to all the fun out they ended up playing for over 2 hours and still were not ready to leave.

Anna was even there to dance with the girls πŸ˜€

Getting ready for Henry

Since I knew that we would have a whole summer of playing I figured I better get on it before school let out and get ready for baby Henry.

I finished up his room the week before school let out. We love going in there and looking at his room and talking about all the things he will do in there πŸ˜€

Now I have to move on to finishing up the girls play room and boy are they pushing me to get it done so they can starting playing aka destroying it
