Easter

All day Sunday kept saying..." It's happy Easter Sunday!!!"
She was so excited about it!
We has a great day with our family.
It was beautiful and sunny and we had a great day celebrating that he is risen!

Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday we had our small group Easter egg hunt.
Ellie and I stayed home because she was sick with a virus.
Matt and Annie went.
Matt said Annie did not have any interest in collecting a basket full of eggs. All she did was find one, pop it open, eat the candy and then move on to the next one.  Silly girl!

Here are a few pictures before they left.

Easter Bunny

I was not really sure how the Easter Bunny would go over this year.
Last year Ellie loved him and Annie didn't pay him any attention.
This year Ellie said several times that she didn't want to see him or sit in his lap...we'll that changed after I bribed her with some ice cream :)
Annie was uncertain of him and kept kind of looking like she was going to loose-it but we actually got a few good pictures of them.

my sweet 4 year old

It's so hard to me to wrap my head around the idea that my baby is four.
She is just growing up way too fast.
She has the sweetest little personality.
She loves to talk and ask lots of questions.
She loves staying busy and thinks working out in the yard is just the best thing ever.

She was so excited about turning 4 and talked about it a lot. She is still getting use to the idea of holding up 4 fingers instead of 3.
We went to the dr last week for her 4 year old check up.
She weighed 40 lbs and 40.5 inches tall.
She got her finger stuck and two shots and she didn't shed a tear. She is so brave!
She did want to spend the afternoon talking about how much Annie would have cried if she had to get  shots :)

Here are some things we want to remember about you at 4 years old.
- how you love you baby sister. You can be such a great big sister :) it melts my heart when I turn around and see you two holding hands in the car. You are enjoying playing with your little sister. Ore and more and y'all have started going in your room and closing the door and playing with your toys
- how you love playing outside. You will say " I want to go play in the deep woods " you love climbing trees and you are really good at it. You also love playing in the water and playing in the mud. You love to make some mud pies :) and mommy just loves cleaning that up.. You love picking flowers and weeds. There are all beautiful to you. The way you see things just reminds me how Jesus calls us to be more like children.
- your beautiful blond hair. It is so soft and pretty. You love getting your hair cut but you always talk about wanting to grow it out long like tangled.
- how you love to play with your princesses. You will go in your room, close the door and make a little village with you castles and houses. You will talk and play for a long time. I love listening to you in there. It makes me so happy.
- how you have your own sense of style. You know what you like to wear and you want to wear what you want to all the time. You also love changing clothes. Some days you will go through 8 outfit changes. Luckily your clothes are small and easy to wash. You also love doing your own hair. You like to put pots and lots of clips in there with head bands. It makes her laugh.
- how you love to ask questions and talk.  You love to talk about what we are going to do during the
day. Every morning when you wake up you say " what are we doing today ?!" You also like to talk
about the flowers, princesses, what fun things we are going to do and your sister :)

My sweet little girl...you have already taught me so much. You make my life happier. I love watching you grow and learn. You are my sunshine... Sweet Ellie.

Easter Eggs!!

Saturday night we dyed easter eggs.
I told ellie what we were going to do and she said " yay!! them are going to taste so good"
I am sure that in her mind there was some chocolate involved :)

Little miss Annie was super excited too. She tried over and over to get ahold of the dye and take a drink of it. That little girl want s to keep poison control in business...

Annie had fun for about 2 minutes then she realized that is was something she could eat and downed about three pretty fast. She thought they were delicious.

they turned out so pretty!!!

Oak Mountain

Two Saturdays ago we spent the morning at Oak Mountain State Park.
My sister Melissa got married :)
Congratulations to you two...

After the wedding we went to the petting zoo.
It was such a pretty day to spend there!!!
Annie loved the goats but the goats did not love her.
One pushed her away with its horns...
She didn't get the message though because she just kept trying to love on him :)
she is very persistent.

Ellie was super busy and just ran from animal to animal.
Its funny though because her favorite thing to do this time was her favorite thing to do last time...which was chase the baby goats :)
