Gearing up for summertime

We have started up the past few weeks doing fun summer time activities.
We took a trip to the zoo and renewed our membership,so we can make lots of zoo visits this summer.

It was warm enough and pretty enough to where the girls could play in the splash pad at the zoo.
Ellie loves it from the second we got there. Annie took just about the whole time to warm up to the idea of it. She really loved it last year but was pretty uncertain about it this time until it was time to go so we will see how she comes around to it this summer.

I for once didn't bring the stroller or wagon because I thought we could run off some energy and hopefully get a good afternoon nap. The girls didn't think too much of my idea and fussed at me and wanted to be carried around the zoo so next time we will bring something with wheels.

We have also been doing some swimming.
Ellie loves to swim and has actually become a pretty good swimmer. She is also super excited because now she can touch the bottom of the pool!

One down side to her confidence is that she it totally against wearing her life jackets which makes me so nervous.

Little miss Annie is really starting to love to swim too.
She is doing great with her puddle jumper. She can swim around the pool and hold her head up water.
She also likes she jump in and climb in and out of the water.
So...you can imagine what I look like at the pool following Ellie around like a crazy person since she doesn't wear a life jacket and trying to hold onto Annie because she is trying to climb up the big later and then make a big jump into the pool :) fun fun

Ellie and I have also made a fun trip to the movies.
We went to se Rio 2.
The first rio was her first movie to go see so I had really been wanting to take her to see the second rio. It was fun to do something just me and her and the movie was pretty cute too.
I am wanting to bring Annie next time once the summer dollar movies start. That way it will be ok if she acts up and we need to leave :)
So we can look forward to that too!
