Painted by You

We had fun last week going to Painted by You and painting a few pieces of pottery.

Ellie loves to paint so I knew she would love it but I was kind of nervous about how is would turn out. We have still not picked them up to see the final results. We did a plate with her hand on it and I thought it had turned out pretty good but Ellie decided it needed a little more and went at it with her hands again...I tried to touch it up but we will see :)

Summer Reading

On Friday we went to the Summer Reading Program at the library.

I have never made many trips to the library with Ellie because the first time I ever brought her she was almost 1 and she went CRAZY pulling all the books off the shelf and people kept looking at us...so we have steered clear. But I figured we would give it another try and it was a little better this time( hopefully it will just keep getting better and better!)

The program was a magic show with a person there that juggled.

It lasted for about 45 minutes and she did really great sitting staying in one spot.

Her favorite part was when the music came on and she could stand up and dance!!

Ready or not...

I have been tossing around the idea of potty training around in my head the last few months.

I was thinking about doing the 3 day potty training that I have heard many people talk about but after 1/2 a day of that I quickly decided that was not for us.

I had kind of though we would wait a little longer until Ellie was super interested in it...in hopes that it would be easier. But the beginning of this week she has started taking her diaper off and climbing on the big on the big potty ( without a potty seat on in) ALL- BY- HERSELF and going potty! 

So we bought some Dora pull ups...

And we have been using the potty...like all the potties... Even the ones in Target and T.J. Maxx. I never realized how nasty they really.

She gets so proud of herself when she does it....

She says..." i did it!! "

Summer Favorites

One of my favorite things about Summertime is the food.

I guess that it one positive thing about being pregnant in the Summer is that I can eat whatever I want... which I usually do...but not feel guilty about it!

Ellie and I made a cobbler last night and it was so good with vanilla ice cream on top!

Matt asked me if I wanted to save the rest of it and I was thinking " Umm..Yes. I am going to eat it for breakfast too :)"

It is so easy and good!

Ellie sees it and says " No me eat"
And that is just fine with me...that mean I don't have to share :)

Dress Up

We went over to visit Anna- Claire and Jenna the other night.

While the boys worked outside on a "project" we played dress up!

We go so tickled at the girls in their wigs...they just looked so silly!

Noah's Birthday Party

We had fun on Saturday celebrating Noah's 9th birthday.

I cannot believe he is already 9!!!

It seems like yesterday we were waiting for the call that he was here.

They had a swimming pool and a slip and slide and Ellie loved both of them.

She didn't fully understand the concept of the slip and slide at first but after watching the other kids a few times she got the hang of it.

Gadsden Get Together

On Tuesday night we went up to Gadsden to visit with some of my friends from nursing school.

We were so happy to get to see them and catch up.

Ellie had a great time too. She loves going anywhere where she gets lots of attention :)
