Busy Bee

Little L is SO busy ALL - THE - TIME

One of her favorite things to do is to play in the cabinets and pull everything out of any drawer she can get her sweet little hands on...

We have "given" her the tupperware cabinet to play with

and she just thinks that that is the best thing in the world!

She's got Tricks!

Little Miss Ellie is VERY talented!

She has a book full of tricks at only 9 months old!

~She is a tongue contortionist~

She can position her tongue just about any way possible!

She can almost touch her tongue to her nose!

~She is also a speed crawler and climber~

She can crawl SO fast and climb all the way to the top of the stairs!

~She is a balance queen~

She can balance just about anything on her head!

I hear that the Circus is coming to town...

WHY?

Just thinking about a few things and wondering WHY?

* WHY do all my clothes get turned inside out in the washing machine and dryer?

*WHY does Ellie think she has to go and pull out ALL her clothes, blankets, burp cloths, etc. from her drawers multiple times EVERY. SINGLE. DAY?!?

* WHY do I always have so much junk in my car at the end of the day?

* WHY does Ellie pitch a fit whenever I put her in her carseat?

*WHY can't going to the gym be a one time thing? I hate going every-single-day

* WHY can't I organize things and KEEP them that way?

* WHY does One Tree Hill take SO long to come back on after the summer and winter break?

*WHY will my dog not stay outside when I want him to?

* WHY does my 9 month...almost 10 month old baby still not consistently sleep through the night?

* WHY did people every create online learning program?

* WHY is the only thing I ever want to eat is sweets?

It has just been one of those weeks...

Sweet Party

Saturday we celebrated Riley Grace's 1st Birthday Party!

It was very cute and very SWEET!

Ellie had the best time ever playing on the floor with all the balloons!

She also LOVED eating the yummy cupcakes...

We went to eat last night to celebrate her Birthday and had a good time!

Momma, I hope that you had a wonderful birthday!

Your are such a sweet, loving, patient and strong woman and we are SO blessed to have you in our lives!

Some days I don't know how I am going to make it with one baby, but you did it with four...wow!

You must have super powers!

Snow Day

Today was a snow day at our house!

We had a great day of playing in the snow/ice for a little while this morning

and being lazy ALL day long!

9 Months

Yesterday our sweet Ellie Reese turned 9 months old!

She is getting so old and I just cannot believe it.

It makes me sad because I feel like she it starting to look more like a "little girl" and less like a "little baby"...it's bittersweet. Her hair is really starting to grow and it is starting to cover her ears..I think it is so sweet.

We went to the doctor yesterday for her 9 month check - up.

Here 9 month stats were...

Head Circ:18 1/4 (96th percentile)

Length: 29 1/4 ( 95th percentile)

Weight: 21 lbs 7 oz ( 89th percentile)

The doctor said that she looked great and I agree!

Here are some sweet things we don't want to forget about you at 9 months

* The sweet way you lay your head down on me over and over again when you get in bed with me in the morning.

* The sound of your little sweet baby voice. I could just listen to you jabber all day.

* The way you starting dancing in your crib when you see somebody is coming to get you out...its the cutest thing ever.

* The way you love to clap and say "yay" for yourself.

* How you love to pull ALL of your clothes out of your drawer. It makes you SO proud of yourself!

* The sweet way you go and visit Jack in his kennel every-single-morning

* How you pat people on the back when they pick you up or are holding you. It's like you are saying "Good Job!"

* Listening to you whisper " bye-bye"

*The sweet noises that you make when you are trying to fall asleep.

Oh my sweet baby girl....

I love you more than you will ever know....

Ellie the Biter

Miss Ellie has developed a nasty little habit of biting and I do NOT think it is one her best traits.

I know the main reason she does it is because her teeth are driving her CRAZY

But I am afraid if I don't try to stop it now it will just get worse.

The first two times she bit be I told her "no" and pointed my finger at her and started crying.

But now when I tell her "no" she thinks its so funny and just laughs at me.

I don't know what I am going to do with this crazy little biter!

Happy New Year...

Happy New Years to All!

We had a fun busy New Years Weekend.

We went to the lake for New Years Eve and spent the weekend with Matt's Family.

It is always fun to go and spend time at the lake... it is very relaxing.

Its out in middle of nowhere so you don't feel like you should be "going" somewhere because there is nowhere to go...

So we spent the night there and Matt went hunting...I know he enjoyed that...

He is now going to have to go hunting more because he has got all his hunting "gear" now he will just have to hunt in order to show me it was all worth it...

On New Years Day after we ate our "peas and greens" we went to Florence to see my sister Jamie and her family.

Ellie's cousins, River and Rileigh were SO excited to see Miss Ellie.

They played together really well. It was neat to see them because this is one of the first times that we could just sit them on the floor and watch them play and interact together.

Rileigh was so funny...she couldn't understand why Ellie couldn't walk... Rileighwould walk beside Ellie crawling and would pull at Ellie's bottom like she was saying " get up and walk!"

We left their house Sunday and I think that River was ready for us to leave so he could get all his toys back. When we were getting ready to leave Riv tried to take a toy from Ellie and we explained to him that you can't take toys and he said..."OK...go home Ellie!" He wasn't even trying to be polite...kids are so funny! I guess he had had enough visiting and sharing!
