Our thanksgiving weeeknd was lots of fun but way to fast.

Thankful

It's a new day. I had Krispy Kreme for breakfast. Tomorrow is thanksgiving. And I am feeling thankful. 

I am thankful for this sweet fellow. I am thankful for his smiles and coos. I am thankful that he is a part of our family this year. I am thankful for the smiles and joy that he has brought to all of us. I am thankful for his squishy, soft cheeks and thankful that I can kiss them all day long. 

 

I am thankful for this sweet girl. I am thankful that she is so sweet and adoring. She makes you feel so special and loved. She lives in a fairytale world and is completely unaware what is going on around her...there are many days I want to be more like her. I am thankful for her sweet hugs and kisses.

I am thankful for my sweet Ellie. She had a wild and adventurous spirit.  She is so full of energy and is always going and doing. I am thankful that she is a great big sister and her little sister and brother love her.  She is a leader and is always in charge and I love that about her. 

I am thankful for this boy. I am thankful that I have been able to love him and be right beside him for the past 16 years. I am thankful that he knows me so well and loves me no matter what. I am so thankful for what we have...our relationship... our beautiful babies.... our time that we get to share together. I am so thankful that he is loving and kind and patient.

Not my week

I'm not sure if I'm just really ready for the long weekend or if I am way over everybody in our house being sick and coughing and sounding like they are going to cough up a lung but this has been a long week... and it's only Tuesday. 

Poor little bit has been sick and has a terrible cough and he coughs so bad he pukes. And he does. It want to be put down. EVER.

So this has been a long week...

When I get overwhelmed or feel stressed or feel like things are out of control I eat... I eat sweets and a lot of them.

So this was my texting to Matt...

Please oh please let tomorrow be better

Wait your turn

I saw this on Facebook the other day and had to share it. It seems like I have seen more than ever Christmas decorations coming up earlier than I EVER remember.  We do put our tree up the day after thanksgiving but at least we wait until the thanksgiving holiday is over and done... 

 

Thanksgiving Feast

Our sweet Annie girl was sick on Tuesday and didn't get to go to school on Tuesday but thankfully was all better to make it to her feast on Wednesday. 

She loves school so much and it is so sweet to watch her with her friends. 

She was dressed like an Indian just like Ellie had in her 3k class 😍

Daddy was able to come too which made us all happy!!

Homestead Hollow

We were all very excited to go to Homestead Hollow this past weekend. This was a fun thing that I use to do growing up and it has been fun watching our girls have as much fun as I remember having there. 

It always is a plus when the weather is good... and it was just about perfect this weekend. We actually skipped out on the last one because it was so stinkin hot. 

Even Henry had a fun time and actually behaved himself. 

I just love Saturdays and spending time together with the ones I love the very most. 

 
 

 

Veterans Day

On Friday Ellie was off school for Veterans Day... so we met some friends and went to where I feel like we belong... the Zoo!!

These animals... I mean kids... Had a great time running around and playing.

 

 

 

this week...

Tomorrow is Friday. 

So it's been a good week. 

It's a short week for Ellie since she is out tomorrow for Veterans Day. We are going to the zoo.. so that will be an adventure.

On Monday Annie wanted me to take this picture of her and Henry. I told Annie to look at Henry and this is what I got 💗💙

The time change has been an adjustment for us all... this was Monday night. I feel like it's midnight when it's only 6:30. 

Tuesday was an exciting day with the election and all. Both of the girls voted at school which was fun for them!!!

Ellie came home from school on Tuesday with lots of questions about the two candidates. Needless to say she had heard a lot at school and was ready to talk about it. 

She started out talking and being outdone with me because I didn't vote for the girl but after talking to her a little but she decided she was on team Trump. 

Our polling location was very crowded all day. I went after dropping Annie off at school and waited for 15 minutes and didn't move so I left and came back later and was finally able to make it through the line. 

This morning the girls wanted me to take this picture...

And last but not least...

This big, sweet boy is 12 weeks old today. That sweet smile just melts my heart. I could kiss those sweet, soft cheeks all.day.long.

Weekend

Why do weekends always go by so fast?

It's like it's Friday afternoon and then before you know it it's already Sunday night ☹️

We had a fun Friday hanging out at my moms house with some cousins. 

Such sweet fun times. 

I miss having Ellie with me during the day and getting to do fun things with her like this. The time just goes by way to fast. 

Saturday I went back to work. It was my first day back and this pretty much sums up how I felt about it and how it went. 

But now it's over and done. 

Henry actually did great. I really do not worry about the kids when they are with Matt. He is such a great daddy and always takes good care of them and watches them very closely. He may not do it the way mommy does it... but he does a great job !!!

Sunday we went to church and the grocery store then small group that night. 

 

 

 

 

this and that

We went to eat lunch after church the other day and the girls looked so cute I had to get a picture of them. Ellie has become more picky about her clothes and wants to dress more grown up than I care for... she looked so sweet on Sunday and I told her that over and over 😀

I posted a memory from Annie and realized how much it looked like Henry so I had to do a split screen to compare. They really look like the same baby except for their eyes. 

On Halloween Ellie has character day at school. She dressed as Charlottes Web and did a book report on it. She was so excited. Once I picked her up I asked her how it went and she said " Great!!! Everybody loved it and kept touching the spiders legs"

Wednesday afternoon we made our weekly trip to sonic before gymnastics. Ellie has Henry out and was playing with him and said... " hey mom!!! Take our picture... this would be a great picture you know!!"

2 months

My little buddy turned 2 months recently. It is hard to believe that he has already been part of our family for over 2 months. 

The time has really just flown by. 

His sweet little smile just melts my heart. 

He is a pretty fussy little rascal so when he is happy and smiling it makes me enjoy it even more. 

We went the the doctors on Wednesday for a two month check up. 

Weight: 14lbs and 11 oz (90%)

Length: 24 1/4 (90%)

Everything still looked great. We did decide to do a two week trial of Zantac for some possible signs of reflux I had been noticing so hopefully that will help with his irritability. 

Here are some things we don't want to forget about you at 2 month...

- how you love to talk and interact. Your sweet little coos are just so sweet. Your sisters always ask me what you are saying and I tell them you are just practing your talk your talking.

- how you love to listen and watch mommy talk. You will keep your eyes on my the entire time and listen to every word.

- how you love to walk around and look. You have decided that you don't like to be sitting while you are being held. You want to go!

- how you have discovers your hands!!! And they love being in your mouth. Your yell and fuss when you can't get the whole thing in there. 

- how much you look like your daddy. 

- how excited you weee when you saw jake and jack for the first time. You LOVED them.

- how much you are starting to really love and be very interested in your sisters. 

Sweet Henry James... we love you so much sweet boy 

 

 

Happy Halloween 👻

We had a great day yesterday celebrating Halloween!!

The girls got lots of candy, cousin time and lots of treats. Ellie has already said this morning " I can't wait for next year!!"
