6 months

Today my last baby is 6 months old...1/2 a year...

So.hard.to.beleive.

These past 6 months have been some of the hardest months I ever remember. He has not been the easy going third baby boy I envisioned... but of course I still think he is perfect and  love him to pieces. 

He has started getting somewhat better and when he has "good" days and when he has those days my heart is just so happy and I want him to stay in this stage forever. 

He is one wild little monkey and is always moving or making noises or trying to get something. I feel like he is much more different than the girls. 

When he smiles his whole face just lights up and it is seriously the sweetest thing you have ever seen.

He loves to go and be outside and see and explore. He is so close to crawling and I know things will really change when that happens. 

    

Here are some things we want to remember about you at 6 months. 

- your smile. It just makes me so happy

- you sweet, soft blond hair. It's growing so quickly and starting to grow over your ears and I think it's the sweetest. 

- your squishy legs. I LOVE seeing you in shorts with those sweet little legs

- how much you love your sisters. You love to play and "talk" with them. It is so very sweet. I hope and pray y'all will always be sweet and love each other. 

- how you love being right in with everybody. You don't want to feel like you are being left out or left behind. 

- how you always have to be moving or squirming. I'm sure it's because you are a boy 💙

This week

We have had a better week around here. Ellie and I have been getting better and nobody else has gotten as sick as we have so that is good 😀

Last Friday we went to JRFH at Ellie's school. It was fun watching her there with her friends. 

This boy is growing up right before our eyes. We are trying to get him use to sitting in a high chair. Can you tell he doesn't love it ?!

There are two things that he loves. Swinging and his sisters. 

They both make him so be HAPPY 

Ellie was out of school Monday so we went to the botanical gardens to explore and have a picnic.

We had fun playing and eating and wading in the water.

This sweet girl here. I just love her. 

Sometimes she can be so happy and content with things. She walked and collected treasure ( aka petals that had fallen on the ground) and kept them all in her hat. She was so excited about them and thought they were all so special. This was just so sweet and innocent to me. I hope she stays like this for a long time. 

      

This week

I am ready to tell this week goodbye. 

Ellie and I have been sick and not just runny nose sick. We have been sick with a virus that has been just awful. I am hoping and praying that nobody else gets it. 

I had a few sweet pictures to share...

Henry rode in the buggy for the girl time the other day. He likes it for about 10 minutes then he wanted to be held.

Annie and I made a yummy trip to yogurt mountain. She was so sweet and so happy to be there without her sister. 

This little guy is just the cutest but oh so rotten.

I just love taking pictures of his sweet little face. 

 

On Saturday we had two birthday parties. 

One was to celebrate this little priss turning two. 

She is just the cutest and sweetest ❤️

  

 

After the party we went to the Galleria and saw the Lego exhibit and did a little shopping.

The girls showed a little more interest in them this year than last...

 

We tried to celebrate valentines the best we could. It started out pretty good but ended up with me on the couch with the heated blanket with chills. We had planned to go to a valentines dinner at our church but had to cancel that. 

I was able to get some sweet pictures of the kids before Ellie headed off to the doctor.

 

She ended up having a ear infection with sinusitis so we got an antibiotic...

Poor girl has been out of school for three days and is getting a little stir crazy so we have been trying to find things to do... like painting rocks 😀

 

Happy Thursday ( almost Friday!!!)

Sunday funday

Sunday we went to church then came home for lunch and a nap.

After that we headed to a birthday party at the indoor playground "Let's Play" 

The girls had fun playing and henry had fun watching. That place is very stimulating and so he had lots to look at 😀

 

 

After the party we went to eat at Chuys. Since it was super bowl Sunday it was not crowded at all and we walked right in to sit down. I got this picture of the girls... Matt and I got out of the car and I turned around and they were just dancing away in front of this store. It made me smile. 

 

We came home and watched some of the football game. We watched the halftime show. The girls ran in and out during the game. Annie came in and said " everything is so much more fascinating with my glasses on "

This and that

My baby is growing way too fast. It is so exciting for him to be able to do new big boy things but at the same time it's sad because it means he is getting bigger. 

I pulled out the high chair from the attic the other day for him to sit in it. He actually was not big enough yet but it won't be long before he can sit in it. 

I just love watching him sleep. There is just something about a sleeping baby that is the sweetest to me. Doesn't he look like a angel??

I have been feeling heavier lately and I don't like it.  I want to eat better and do better I just don't have much motivation right now. The weather and a fussy baby and the winter in general makes me want to eat and eat and eat. 

I saw this the other day and thought it was pretty funny. 

 So one thing Matt and I have been trying to do it have a smoothie for supper instead of eating a big dinner. I got some smoothie mix from Sams the other day and saw this there. It looked good but I wasn't really sure about the pineapple in a smoothie. I may try it next time. 

  

 

I have decided that I want a new kitchen table. I want one that is thinner and longer than what we have. I went looking the other day at the antique mall. I found this one. I liked it a lot. I don't really know if I want white and I hate that it cost so much. I think that I have talked Matt into building one... we could make it the size we want and save a lot of money. So we will see how that goes. Or if it goes...

 

Hope this week goes by fast because I am already for the weekend 😀

100 days and sweetest little boy

Last week at school Ellie celebrated her100th day by dressing up as a 100 year old person. She just loved this and really got into it. When I picked her up and asked her how her day was she smiled and said " great"

Makes this momma happy 💗

This little nugget was sick with his first ear infection and was actually fussier than his normal fussy self... but you couldn't tell it from this big happy smile. 

He just loves being talked to and feel like he is the center of attention. That smile though... it is just the sweetest. 

Last week

The weeks just keep coming and going.

 I was just thinking yesterday how true that saying is.. " the days are long but the years are fast"  We always do and go so much... or at least I feel like it. There is not much time that we spend sitting on the couch doing nothing. I want to make sure that I remember this sweet time with them because even though it is very hard sometimes it is going fast and I will never get it back. 

 

We spent some time at the track waking and riding scooters and door " tricks" on our scooters 

Thanks to a joint effort,

Matt and I had a date. Went to eat and did a little shopping. It was so fun and so nice to be able to just be together and talk with nobody interrupting. I love him so much and love the time that we do get to spend together. It never gets old. He makes me so happy and so a date with him made me super happy 😀

The days that Annie does not go to school I try and spend some time with her letting her do fun things and making sure I make time to do them with her. She is growing so much and always has so much to say.

I want to make sure I am there to hear here watch her grow. 

After a long week these two passed out in my lap...

5 months

How is this baby already 5 months?!?

It's hard to believe but it's true...

He is the sweetest but for sure much different than the girls.

He likes to go and see and do... nomsitting around for him...

( except for here in this picture where he had his first ear infection ☹️️ ) 

He is the most social little thing ever and lov s being talked to and taking and or fussing...

He gives the biggest smiles and he just melts my heart...

He has discovered the swing and loves it!!! 

This is one place he will stay and be happy for some time. Which is strange because he hates the inside swing and won't even let you set him down in it before he starts fussing. 

He adore his sisters and really does miss them during the day when they are not here. I tell Matt that I feel like he gets bored with me and is fussier during the day because I'm not as fun as them. 

    

Here are some things we want to remember about you at 5 months:

- your big happy smile!!! It is the sweetest and it lights up your whole face.

- your fate, squishy legs. They are so soft and so sweet. 

- your big open mouth kisses. I just love them. 

- how much you love your sisters. You love laying in their bed hanging out with them. 

- how interested in food you are. You will stare somebody down if they are eating. 

- how you love being outside. 

- your laugh. I could listen to it all. day. long.

Seeet Henry... we love you so very much!!! You have already rocked our world in these last few months and we wouldn't have it any other way
